Tupperware_Queen: What is bodybalance? I've seen it on the schedule at my gym, but there's no description of it. So long as it doesn't put too much strain on my knees, I might want to try it.

Fred, I would like to be put down for 12 marathons for April. That will cover aqua aerobics 3x per week, yoga 1x per week, pilates 1x per week, low impact aerobics 1x per week, and an extra 1 3/4 hours throughout the month for me to try something new. I'm not counting my strength training that I'll be starting 1 April. Maybe seeing how many 'marathons' I complete will spur me into doing even more (like getting back into zumba again!).

I also have 2 hours and 10 minutes to add for what I did yesterday between the gym and walking around town.

Thank you for keeping up with all of us, seeing the numbers add up really does make me want to do more! :)

  • oooh great thanks Fred :-) so chuffed!!

Mrs TM, bodybalance is fantastic, its sort of pilates/yoga/tai chi combined and set to music. Since I have been doing it my core strength has come on great guns, and also my flexibility. There are a number of different instructors at my gym, and they each have a slightly different take on it, some really push you to stretch yourself, others are more focussed on the breathing and getting the inner peace right. (that sounds more hippie than it really is!)

Give it a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed! And if you have knee problems they usually give options to make things a bit easier for those who need a variation.

  • Well done TQ!

Can I go for four marathons for April - aiming high!
  • As I am a Cub Scout Leader, and St George is our patron saint, I think I should be on the George team. As for the marathon challenge, well, I need to do at least 8 hours a week, so I'm going to aim for 16 marathons, and lets see how I do!!

Well done Tupperware Queen. Thanks for the information about bodybalance, think I might give it a go.

Well I am aiming to do 5 classes a week next month, plus if it ever stops snowing! I am going to get the bike out again and star cycling to the gym. So Fred will you put me down for 10 Marathons please.

Giving the weight challenges a miss this month Fred, trying to get my head in the right place.

Thanks for the good wishes. 67.3 kg today. I think it's mainly down to the fluid, swelling and bruising subsiding - 5 weeks ago today. I haven't been able to do any exercise at all - it's just too darned cold even to walk round the block, the wind blowing straight from Siberia without pausing anywhere on the way!

No chocolate at all. I don't like 'traditional' chocolate, Cadbury's etc because it's mainly sugar and less chocolate. I don't need all that sugar, although I do like organic chocolate occasionally. Although I would have liked a cup of hot chocolate last evening when we got back from the Maundy Thursday service. The church is very very old and it was freezing cold.

Today is the saddest day in the Christian year, for some people in fact it's a fast day.

  • I missed the bit about the teams sorry - George team please as my birthday is St.George's Day!
  • Been to the gym this morning, another body balance, followed by zumba. That's 1 3/4 hours to add please :-)
