  • awh Vix, that cake looks cool, I'm sure he'll be very happy! I'm counting the calories just looking at it!!

I have kept myself indoors today, dosed up with various potions, lucky I hadn't gone out, I read that the cough medicine was nearly 7% alcohol!! Not feeling much better, but on the plus side, I can't taste a thing so am not tempted by any naughty treats!!

  • Several days of indulgence including nibbles, chocolates, cider and a takeaway (eek) in celebration of my new job. But back on the healthy stuff now and tried to undo some damage yesterday with 1 hour exercise, trying another new DVD! Weigh-in on Wednesday (oh dear), lol

My weight is now lower than at any time since the start of 2012. I lost almost 4 pounds with the breast reduction surgery but there was swelling, fluid retention, all of that, and it has all subsided. I'm now down to 67.3 kg.

I'll see what the scales say tomorrow morning. BTW I've not been able to take any exercise at all for several weeks, due, among other things, to the weather. We're going for a 2-night break in Eastbourne mid-April and hopefully will be able to get out and walk along the sea-front.

    Hi everyone,

Just had a quick catch up with the thread, glad to see you are all doing well.

I have to admit that I have purposely been keeping away from the thread for the last few weeks as I noticed that I was becoming a bit obsessed with what I was eating / not eating. This is something I struggled with for many years and which I think is quite counter productive for me - the more I think about not eating, the more I eat!!! I have a feeling that this has stemmed from my short trial of the 5/2 diet which I now realise was a bad idea for me.

Anyhow, with apologies to the Shamrock team who I have badly let down this month, I have decided to stop weighing myself and counting calories and get back to what has always been more successful for me - 'thinking healthy'.

Would still like to continue with the exercise challenges if that is ok Fred. I have another 5 hours to add to the challenge. This includes my 5k which I ran last week. My time was not too good (42 min) but I did manage to raise £90 for the Stroke Association which is what really matters.

My boyfriends mum and partner and coming to stay with us for awhile from the states tomorrow - I'm really excited! I've never hosted anyone before :)
The real benefits will come from the food we will be eating. She is vegetarian and lives on a real super healthy diet, so I will have no choice but to eat like that too! I need a bit of a kick up the !!!! with my diet.

Easter eggs for a quid are great and all that, but i'm popping them in my trolley like they're going out of fashion :/

Hope everyone is fighting off the cold/wind/miserable spring weather, thats gotta be burning a few calories!!
