Vix that looks fun! I do body balance which is a mix of yoga, Pilates and tai chi, I can confirm that it's really hard, especially if you push yourself to increase the stretches. It's brilliant, my flexibility and strength has come on in leaps and bounds :-)
Anyway, I had a busy day yesterday, but managed 1 & 3/4 hours exercise
Weighed in this morning and finally below 80kg!! Loss this week 2 & 1/2 lb :j:j:jGetting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

Well done Tupperware Queen - what a great milestone!
I managed 1 hour of excerise last night. My new DVD is 5x10 min sessions targeting different parts of the body, I intended to just do a couple but once I started I thought I might as well try them all! plus a bit of warm and cool down makes the 1 hour.
I'm very happy as I've lost 3lbs since last weigh-in which means I've lost 15lbs in total so I've achieved my target of losing a stone :j:j:j
My challenege will now be maintaing the weight loss which in some ways is harder than losing weight. I'm good a being 'on a diet' and eating very well but when I'm not I just eat lots of rubbish so really going to try and keep the weight off this time. I must have lost and gained the same stone at least 5 times!
Any suggestions for maintenance welcome, I could try and still eat the same as I do now but allow myself treats or I might try and eat 1400 cals a day in the week and have whatever I want at the weekend, not sure yet.
I'm back in my size 10 trousers now so hoping that is motivation enough but I'll stay on here and post my weight each week if thats ok to try and keep me focused at least some of the time! I also still want to tone up a bit more so will keep on posting towards excerise goals.
Good luck to everyone who still has their weigh-in to go!0 -
Thats great Nicky, I'm a long way off my target yet, but I am confident that with the support of my RL friends and you guys on here I can do it.
A friend of mine who lost a lot of weight has maintained her loss for last 18 months, she still does lots of exercise, but is more lenient with her diet now, though if she notices the scales creeping up she does a week of 'strict rules' as she calls it.Getting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

Maintaining is hard.
I still go to class as it is free as long as I dont go more than 3 lbs over target. This helps keep me in check.
My biggest problem is that I am a stress eater & want to eat unhealthy food when I am stressed(which at the moment is often :rotfl:  )I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. 50 minutes of walking yesterday and 2 hours 32 minutes of exercise today. Today was walking to and from the gym, a 55 minute low impact aerobics class, swimming for 30 minutes, then a 45 minute aqua aerobics class.0
