Well done on all counts there TQ - wondered where you had dissappeared to.
I'm off work this week just pottering around the house and a few jobs to sort out. Managed to motivate myself to do one of my DVDs yesterday afternoon after far too long off - my muscles ache today! I'm also adding 2 hours for washing my windows inside and out in the morning, lots of bending, stretching and climbing. Might need a rest day today to recover, lol! Hopefully get a bit more cleaning and painting done at the weekend before I go back to work! Anyway, 3 hours exercise to add please.0 -
Thanks everyone for the good wishes, its certainly been an eventful April!! Can't believe its the end of the month already (although being paid was a relief today!!)
Just to prove I'm back on the wagon, I'll log my half hour of gardening and an hour in body balance please :-)Getting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

Weight Loss: 2lb
Callanetics: 2 hr 30 min
Walking; 30 min
Still need to lose another 3lb to get back to where I was 2 months ago. I'm at the beginning of the menopause and I think this is messing things up a bit.

As I have so much weight to lose it's probably not fair to include me in SOTW/SOTM, nobody not in my weight class is going to be able to consistently lose 4-6lb every week. On that subject, another 5lb gone this week (total 86lb) even though I got smashed on Monday and blew 1700 calories on vodka and wine. Walking 10km that day helped mitigate it a fair bit I think.
I'm now going to hit the Gillian Michaels weight loss program on my treadmill rather than my own workouts, I'm down to a weight where I feel confident that I won't break it using the incline functions so let's see how much she hurts me.0 -
GDVS - you've lost the weight and put the effort in so you deserve the SoTW0
-
Indeed GDVS, you deserve it if you lost it! And I just love jillian michaels, if you have a I phone try her app, I've just started using it and it's fab. Combines logging food and exercise with giving you tips, access to loads of exercise videos etc, you have to pay ( think you can get a free trial) but it only works out at a tenner a month and I think it's well worth it, provided you like her style.
Well done :-)Getting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

Hey Guys,
Well I'm ready to try another fad diet, lol. Gonna try 'The Overnight Diet'. The name is a little misleading, but the ideas behind it make sense. A basic version can be found here. I think that I feel the need to try all of these diets to try and renew my interest in dieting, and give me a little motivational push! They do work, for a while at least, lol. It's like starting afresh each time, which does help keep me going.
You simply need to get sufficient sleep (something I definitely need to work on!!!!!), eat a good amount of protein each day, lots of fruit and veg, and limited carbs (although a small amount of wholegrain foods are fine). Then on one day a week you have 3 smoothies in place of meals. The smoothies must be home made and contain protein, fruit, and veg, so are a lot better for you than the kind you find in a shop (and more filling!). Some of the smoothie ideas in this article are a bit odd (using chocolate syrup?!?) so I'll mainly use the 'make your own' section to create them.
I'm kind of starting today, but am doing the 'normal day' version as I don't have the right bits in to go for the smoothie day, so will try that tomorrow. So far I've had some strawberries and and apple, then a small wholegrain roll (split in half to make two open top rolls) with corned beef and cucumber.
Well I've told my eldest that if he sorts his room out a bit then we can go and spend the afternoon at the park and even take a little picnic. He wants to do go, but can't bear to do his room  It'd take him 20 mins tops so I'm not impressed with him at the moment, and it looks like me and DS2 will have to suffer for it! I guess I have got a lot of paperwork to catch up with...0
