Worked away from home this week but managed to stick to the diet (actually undereating most days, must stop that) and exercise days. 13km walked and another 6 pounds lost so hopefully next week I'll pass the 6 stone mark.0

Absolutely devastated at the weight gain just now.
Try not to let it get you down.
Take an honest look at the last couple of weeks - how have you eaten? Have you eaten enough (if you cut back to too few calories your body will go into starvation mode), have you drank enough water, have you had enough sleep?
Any of these will affect your weight.0 -
Hi Guys,
Good luck Vix, hope all goes well tonight! :j
Missed weigh in againlost 1 lb but will add it next week. Been so busy with the business that I've barely got time to breathe! Hoping to move into business premises by the end of summer so it's a really exciting time at the moment!
But, even more excitingly (if that's even a word?!?) we bought a beautiful baby crested Gecko yesterday!!!!! :j:j:j He's 10 weeks old, around 3 inches long, and is the most adorable thing I've ever seen!
Dietwise, I'm feeling pretty positive at the moment. I've always been an 'over compensator' (sp), i.e eating more than usual after exercise, or over eating if I've not eaten for a very long time, and have been working at changing this mindset lately. I've been getting to the point of hunger pains most days as I'm constantly out and about... and no longer have time to raid the fridge at the first sign of hunger, lol!Normally, I'll stop off at a shop and buy a quick fix, but lately I've been making sure I wait until I'm home and can make something healthy, or will keep a healthy snack on me to keep me going.
I think the 5:2 diet helped with this as I don't mind feeling hungry now, I know that I'm not going to starve if I go an extra hour or two without eating, so am feeling more relaxed about eating now, and am thinking about food less - which is great as I can get a bit obsessed with food when trying to diet!
Ok, I've rambled enough for now, lol. Hope everyone's ok and will try to pop in and see you all a bit more often!0 -
Welcome Charleybear
Vix, hope all went well with the waitressing trial.
Lolly, I wish the 5:2 had had the same effect with me, my diet has gone completely off the rails since I gave it a go  I am trying not to think too much about food and I am slowly getting back on track.
Fred, glad your Granddad is feeling better.
1 1/2 hours at the gym for me yesterday please Fred.0 -
