I put on 0.5lb this week. Stuck to my points, but I think I need to look at what i'm eating, possibly too much sugar.

    I'll go away.

I won't partake in the London to Glasgow mileage, I'm having a weights based month and the two seem incomparable.

There are 5 weigh in Wednesdays in July so put me down for a double 5lb Challenge. That's right ladels and jellyspoons, a 10lb Challenge.

(edit: the only bit of jiggery-pokery I can think of to be included in the Commonwealth Games challenge is to change the distance to time; 343 minutes / 15 minute sessions = 23 days of exercise in July, 8 rest days. Or you could just tell me to sod off!)

That's fine for the exercise challenge - if that's easier for you to join in - just make sure you remind me that you're doing minutes and logging minutes as I'm likely to try to convert it to miles :o

    It's a 1lb LOSSfor me this week :)

Thanks for the chart and running this thread Fred.

Please could I be on the Awayteam and take part in the London to Glasgow challenge. Funnily enough I will be in Glasgow at the time of the Games. My family have got tickets to a couple of the events, so whilst they are there I'm going to enjoy a shopping spree, as I've absolutely no interest in sport.

Also could I be put down for the 5lb challenge, probably won't achieve it but it gives me something to aim for.

  • My cross trainer broke, 2 days before the end of my challenge!

It's been gutted and ripped apart to find the offending item and it booked in for an emergency welding and then will be surgically reattached tomorrow or Tuesday.*

So please, Mr fred sir, can I postpone my last Rio challenge contribution to when my equipment is good as new and ready for another pounding?

(*This paragraph may have been exaggerated for dramatic affect)

It's bad enough I always read the username as fred's nail but to also presume you were a chap is sacrilege! Gah! Typical bloke, putting my foot in it, eh?! :rotfl:

Anyway I can clock in another 9.82mi after superdad fixed the cross trainer tonight. Total; 56.35mi. I'll sneak in another session tomorrow me thinks.

:D:rotfl:You're not the first and won't be the last :)

It's my cunning plan for a confusing username that baffles people :p
  • Put me down for a final day total, and personal best, of 2.17mi and a completed challenge total of 58.52mi. :j

If this doesn't lose me a couple of pounds for tomorrow's weekly weigh in, someone is going to have to put up with a grumpy sod all day.

    Hi Everyone,

Is it OK if I join AGAIN!!!

Since I was last here I have been quite ill with a chest problem and have not really been able to do much exercise at all. Things seem to be settling down a bit now and have been advised to start exercising again. Can't quite believe how unfit I feel at the minute, I really do feel like I am back at square one. Have been out on my bike a few times over the last week trying to ease myself back into it, but do need to bite the bullet and get back to the gym.

Have been avoiding the scales, but am sure I must have put on at least a stone  Will weigh in tomorrow morning and pm you new starting weight if that is OK.

Hope everyone is OK. Will catch up with the thread over the next few days.

Fred, can you put me down for the 5lb challenge and the London to Glasgow challenge please.
