I have gained 1lb 3 times since I started in October. I don't think you should get hung up about average weekly weight loss. Look at it over 3-4 weeks instead. Every time i've gained, i've been good. It is a bit disappointing, but i've always lost it the following week. Sometimes it just takes a while longer for the loss to show.

Sorry, I mean to quote White Rose Tight ThaKnows. :)
  • Sorry for not loggin in this week ....... Bad day yesterday and I have gone down with the MAN FLU !!!! so only hauled my butt out of bed 1 hr ago.

I did manage to weigh myself yesterday and I had lost 1lb which is very disappointing as I just seem to be recycling around the same weight since christmas. Last time I lost weight I knew that reeling myslef in would get any gain off again but this time it doesn't seem to make any difference. My OH say's I am too hard on myself but the fact my work uniform feels like I am wearing a straight jacket and my trousers cut me in half with a mega jumbo muffin top!!!!
So I know I need to do something but I am not sure what is going to work for me this time. I have a few really busy weeks, staying away and easter so my goal was to loose 5lb this month but if I come out of the month weighing the same as now I guess that will be a good goal too........

Fredsnail - sorry for the lateness but could you add 6 hrs skating and 5.6km running to my sochi total, And could I try a marathon and add 3 hrs skating to that for yesterday.

I hope to be back on track soon but need to get rid of man flu by the weekend as have an important game on sunday and I need to be at my best to kick some butt :rotfl:

I know a few of you were looking into betting on your weight loss - I've found this site where you can join in monthly challenge to lose 4% of your body weight - you have to pay to join the challenge and then the pot gets split between everyone who has been successful in the challenge.

Not sure if anyone is interested - it looks like you have to submit a full length photo of yourself at the beginning and end of the challenge along with a photo of the weight on the weighing scales.

Seems to be all American though - maybe we should start one in the UK?

If there are enough people interested I'm happy to look at seeing if we can set up something similar online on a UK basis?

If anyone's interested please post below - then we can take it off the board so people who aren't interested won't get bored reading stuff that they don't relate too.

Hiya guys. Me again :) I'm sure some of you will remember me from previous threads, for those who don't... I'm Maz, I'm a 40 something year old mother, who was ill health retired about 4-5 years ago. I've battled with my weight and stopping smoking for years. Well guess what. One battle has been won :D Been off the smokes now for 5 months and 2 weeks. I said I would give myself 6 months off them before I worried about my weight. Well to my horror, I stepped on the scales on Sunday morning and cried. So I'm here to see if I can join your little group again.

Don't think I'll manage much exercise as my health has got a lot worse since i was here last and I should be moving within the next 2 weeks. But hopefully when I'm moved I'll get moving again, even if it's just a walk around the block. ATM I'm kinda trapped cos of the stairs up to the house. Knees are shot to pieces and after a relatively minor surgery in April last year, my hip/SI joint has been giving me a lot of trouble. But anyhoo. I'm on day 2 of the diet (not diet, change of eating) but you know what I mean :)

Is it too late to join this?

I am currently 193lbs, looking to get down to 175lbs but more importantly trying to look good and be healthy.

    Down from 207lbs in January.
