Gigervamp - I genuinely am so sorry to read that. I hope you can set yourself small goals and lots of treats.

Erinnire - that is an amazing weigh loss. Be so proud of yourself!

Well my goals seem very insignificant in comparison but I am getting there but having a wobble.

One goal was to get house renovations done, I'm 8 weeks in. No kitchen for 8 weeks, literally nothing but a microwave and washing up in the bath. So much to do but inlaws arrive 2 weeks today, house is a complete tip - timing couldn't be much worse but I am at the end of it now, probably 3 weeks to go. I'm crying out for peace but will have to wait until inlaws leave. Tried to buy another house but lost out, I'm a bit gutted about that.

Business had to stop while renovations were being done as there is dust everywhere but I will start it up again as soon as it finishes. It went really well and I have had messages whilst I've been offline wanting my services lol.

No proper holiday but we will have a few days at DLP in October we think.
  • Ohhh, this thread is RIGHT up my street! I've done things like this for years. I've got a memory box from when I was about 14 and I wrote on this piece of paper, where will I be 10 years from now? I put a few pointers about what was going on in my life and dated it which would be around 1998. I've still got it somewhere...
    Anyway I digress. My list

    1) To have paid off 80% of debt- (if not all of it)
    2) To be TTC or pregnant
    3) To have had summer holiday
    4) Visited my sister
    5) Still be in my job
    6) Get admirable abs and arms, before no. 2 happens! :)
    7) Finish off the Garden
    8) Be less of a stressful person!

I'm sure there are more, but I like this mixture...
Some times you have to hold back to go forward to where you want to be.

    Like a catapolt!

How have I never seen this thread before?? I've got a few I can think about for the last 5 and a bit months:
    1) To have some idea about what I want to do job wise - by the end of the year I'll know if I'm being made redundant, and if not I know it's only a maximum 2 years until the firm moves down to Cambridge so I have to look ahead for something new
    2) To have lost at least a stone from where I am now
    3) To have got back blogging - if I do that it will have meant I'm actually DOING more and not just sitting at the pc
    4) To have got a more relaxed attitude to my eldest son who has just finished uni and hasn't got a clue what he wants to do
    5) To have got some semblance of order into my house and desk at work (may come sooner if I am made redundant!)
    6) To have booked my 2014 holiday - going for a cruise for my 50th birthday
    7) To be clear of hospitals and doctors - currently waiting on kidney stone treatment

There are so many things that I need to achieve that I could be here all evening! I'll pick a few important ones and see how I progress over the next 6 months.

    1. Lose 2 stone in weight - I have much more to lose but that's a start
    2. Keep trying to stop smoking, stopping and starting at the moment
    3. Work out something so that I feel less alone
    4. Save £1500 needed to pay off my credit card before the 0% ends
    5. Start working towards an accounting qualification

That short list seems overwhelming, time will tell.

    Good Luck to all

For my son to get a job
For my daughter to meet a boyfriend
For my husband to finish off the kitchen and dining room so that we can sit at the table for Christmas
For me to get back to the gym after hurting my arm and ribs in a fall

    To be safely pregnant.

To have sold our other house.

To have planning permission for our extension.

    To be less skint.

    To have part-mastered the guitar.

1.Overcome my agoraphobia (or at least be able to leave the house comfortably)
2.Finish the garden (already threatened OH with divorce if its not done this year)
    3.Stretch my brain (contemplating OU)

Not doing too bad on this.....

1.I have managed to be out of the house a bit more than I was before, even driving to the edge of our town.

    2. The garden is virtually complete, bar a couple of finishing touches (so no divorce this year :p)

    3. Put the OU on a back burner for now

I am still tearing my hair out over my degree! But progress has been made. Submitting 30th September and final exam will just squeak into the new year, 13th January 2013.

So, how did you all do? As you can see, I'm still here! :j

My goal for next year is the same. :D

One thing I did do this year, that I never thought I would, was meet an astronaut! I was as excited as a child at Christmas! :rotfl:
