Travel more - do you want to see more places abroad or in UK, and are you talking weekends away or weeks/months away?
Good point, I've adjusted these accordingly.
Great response everyone to this thread, keep it coming.0 -
what a good idea! Nothing like stating goals to work towards!
Ok my goals are:
1. Be confirmed in my new permanent job (current contract ends in July but I am not happy where I am so am filling in applications & going for interviews without much luck at the moment)
2. Have renovated kitchen (almost finished), installed bathroom & decorated bedrooms in our first home
3. Spend Christmas with my dd and soon to be born gd
4. Completed Tefal course
5. Have £2000 in savingsDF as at 30/12/16
Wombling 2026: £25.70
Grocery spend challenge Feb £285.11/£250
GC annual £389.25/£2700
Eating out budget: £ 48.87/£300
Extra cash earned 2026: £1850 -
Big upheaval this year so not sure what will be achieved but we'll hope for;
1) Have a healthy baby in August
2) Pass my HNC accounting in May, preferably with an A but a pass will do!
3) Cut costs so we can live on 1 wage + maternity pay
4) Become a proper grown up and spend more time cleaning/tidying the houseMy Debt Free Diary

How is everyone getting on?
As we're just past the half way point in the year, perhaps a few more would like to jump on with their goals for the final six months of 2013?0 -
Easy to find my post as it was the last before the bump
1) Have a healthy baby in August - Still TBC but looking good, fingers crossed!
2) Pass my HNC accounting in May, preferably with an A but a pass will do! - Done, passed with 92% so that's an A in anyone's book!
3) Cut costs so we can live on 1 wage + maternity pay - Paid off my car & sofa so left with 1 payment on debt to go and an ongoing loan payment so 1 wage + maternity should be managable
4) Become a proper grown up and spend more time cleaning/tidying the house - Eh...must try harder!
All in all I'm not doing too bad!My Debt Free Diary

I thought it would be interesting to see how our situation changes between now and the end of the year and what we would like to happen?
For me the following would be great:
1. Get a new and improved job, not just from a financial aspect but to do something I love.
2. Meet that someone special and establish a serious relationship.
3. Use my free time more productively especially at the weekends, less time spent on Facebook etc and more time doing activities.
4. Travel more, weekedn breaks and at least 1 holiday abroad.
5. Continue improving physical and mental health.
What ar your hopes? Anyone can add to this thread up until the end of March and then we'll all look back at it in December and hopefully it will prove to be a fruitful year for us all.
1. Get a new job!!!
2. Lose weight; be a yummy mummy not a slummy mummy
3. Have a holiday abroad; just me and OH as we've never had one on our own in 9 years
4. Stop letting things I can't change get me down
5. Believe in ME
Can you make the goal December 2014... 6 months is too short for me to meet most of my aspirations!!!0 -
Well, I won't be cured now as they can't operate to remove it, although it did respond well to treatment and shrank down. So now I'm on a management plan.
So, dunno what new goal to have.
Very sorry to hear this Gigervamp.
If it's ok I'll jump in with a couple for the last few months of the year?
I would like to:- Have lost another 3 stone (will mean I've lost 9 stone in just over a year)
- Have given DBT and working with my psychiatrist a bloody good crack no matter how hard it is.
- Have started Uni and completed the first term
- Continue to build my relationship with my daughters and be a better and calmer mum
- Get my spending under control and actually work out how much debt I am in and start making a real effort to pay it off
- Declutter my house and get to a point where I feel I can manage the quantity of my belongings
Thanks, it is nice to read everyone's lists hope everyone achieves their goals!0 - Have lost another 3 stone (will mean I've lost 9 stone in just over a year)
