Thought I was going mad! I don't see why the card has to change though. Bit pointless...I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Looks silver to me? Like the Select card?

Flex Direct is a kind of sludgey blue, maybe just got the two confused?
EDIT: Damn it, too late, again.0 -
This is typical, literally 3 weeks ago I set up a Co-Op Privilege account due to the benefits offered but haven't actually transferred any DDs or SOs over to them yet whilst it was all completed. Now that FlexPlus is here I already have my own and joint FlexAccounts so this looks the simpler option.
A couple of trade offs ignoring the 50p difference
Co-Op -
Lower excess on mobile insurance
Free gadget insurance - handy for the iPad etc. but in theory that is also covered by the home insurance, just meant any claims could be kept away from affecting those premiums
Nationwide
Higher mobile excesses
Travel insurance can also cover wife travelling alone or with kids by upgrading joint account, Co-Op insurance only covers if they travel with me
Breakdown insurance - basically a gimme as I wasn't paying Co-Op for it and using AutoAid, but joint account means we can both be covered.
So on balance is it worth me cancelling the Co-Op account, certainly reduces the hassle of managing any extra accounts and I don't really mind Nationwide, had no issues with them for the last decade0 -

Also remember with iPads if your Ipad screen ever breaks 3rd party insurance DO NOT use apple products as replacements.0 -

This in the policy document implies that joint account is not required to travel independentlyThis insurance allows all Nationwide FlexPlus Account holders and their partners to travel independently of each
other throughout the year. Dependant children can travel with the FlexAccount holder or their partner.MFiT-T3 #149: {Q4/14} (£46,447)-->(£0) ~ +£46,447=100%

Yep, the card looks silver in the pictures - but could be anything really
I'd expect something cool, though, seeing as even the flex account cards have a nice red edging to them now0 -

Not sure I follow sorry.... they would replace the iPad with an alternative tablet or they would repair the iPad but use a 3rd party screen rather than an Apple "Official" part? Whereas Apple care I presume only uses Apple parts in all repairs? Hope that makes sense0 -

Sorry, I guess I more meant that at Co-Op that isn't even an option from what I have read. At Nationwide I can choose either a single or joint account to get the benefit(well I upgraded my single account to FlexDirect as I had the travel insurance with Co-Op so now I need to undo all this hence going for the joint as that at least gives us the better coverage on all the benefits for the cheapest cost)0
