Nice little account for me, since I would be paying around £70 for UK breakdown cover alone. I will be able to cover half of the £120/annum charge from interest, meaning I will save £10 on my breakdown cover, and won't need to pay extra for taking the car to the continent.
Plus, I'll get other bits thrown in for free - phone insurance, WW travel insurance and extended warranty. Should come in handy when I buy a whole lot of new kitchen appliances later in there year.
Pretty much a no-brainer for me, so I will apply for one of these and park £2.5K in it.0 -
The breakdown cover looks good, I've been with Brittania Rescue for a couple of years and they've been much better than the AA.0

Its not free phone insurance if you have an iphone0 -
None of those perks are any good to me - I'll stick with my FlexAccount and new FlexDirect. Thanks for posting the link - I've been waiting patiently for the real facts since I saw the DM article.0

Yeah I know, there is an excess for all phones. Shouldn't have called it free since it isn't
Just apply for a Flexaccount upgrade now. Easy to do, all information that you'd expect has been provided and all the "ifs" seem to have been thought through. Actual upgrade scheduled for next weekend, though my insurance covers are already in place now.0 -
Assuming that you can get 2% gross elsewhere, extra 1% on £2.5K will cover only 20% even if you get the interest tax-free or just 16% otherwise.
Suppose you are right - - but I would easily pay £120 a year for UK & European breakdown cover alone so the Flexplus remains a no-brainer for me. I also expect to make use of the WW travel policy at least once in the next 12 months.0 -

Yep it seems pretty good just upgraded myself.0 -
You seem to be trying to justify this by quoting the highest prices.
According to MSE, breakdown cover is available for about £60.
Worldwide travel is just £20 extra with Nationwide Flexaccount.
However, if you really need all this, it can easily add up to £120-£20=£100.0 -
You won't get UK (incl home) & Europe cover for £60 alltogether.0
