Sending hugs SA.. You are truly amazing and it's OK not to be strong all the time and wobble...a good cry is important too. It's not fair and there is no reason why you shouldn't think anything else!

Excellent work on the domestic front too! Well done x

Ah thank you both. Yes I think "why me" but then why not me; it happens to other people and they have to get through it.

Anyway, Mr SA still the same. He was asleep most of the time last night when I visited - even snoring at one point! He's still immobile and not eating or drinking much. He said he'd had enough at one point. Told him to keep fighting.

£8.50 left from last week's budget so this has gone off the card to take the balance down to £3291.50 so only another £291.50 to go to hit my October target of pay off £300 (only!!). Mr SA's ESA went in the bank today so slid the oddment of £3 over to my VSP to make my new total £263.72.

Despite being approx £1500 a month worse off with Mr SA not working, I think I'm managing pretty well. However, once he's out of hospital I have a feeling this will change what with the extra food and probable taxi fares. It has also identified that it must have been Mr SA who cost the most moneywise! There are no petrol, motoring, tools, beer, etc costs. He is one expensive person!

    Happy Friday everyone!

Mr SA still the same - not great not really making any improvements. Bought him a Greggs sausage roll yesterday to try to tempt his appetite - not very healthy I know but he loves them so I thought I'd treat him. Unfortunately after just one bite he was as sick as a dog! All over the bed sheets! I'm probably not very popular with the nurses now! :o

Some more financial dealings today - paid off Tesco spending card and as DD paid her board today £100 of this has gone off the Halifax card and £50 of it has gone to savings that were drawn out to pay for the gardeners. Busy week this week finance wise what with my wages on Monday, Mr SA's ESA on Wednesday and DD being paid today. Next week will be very quiet by comparison! So Halifax card now stands at £3191.50. Target to pay off by end of October is £300, already paid £108.50 so another £191.50 to go.

Saw Mr SA's doctor tonight. He's not worried yet but wants to do scan on Monday. He should start perking up within a week or time to worry. He tried to eat sandwich tonight but boffed it back up again. Very sleepy and also puffed up in hands, eyes and face. Still quite confused - he thought we were flying to New Zealand tonight - I said I hope not as am tired from day at work! Dr thinks all are side effects from high dose chemo I really hope so as I'm getting concerned.

Treated myself to Pizza Hut offer tonight - any size piza for £9.99. Had large vegi supreme - ate 4 slices the other 6 are in freezer for future reference so bargain really. Is it just me or are their pizzas getting thinner and smaller since they started these offers?

Got a busy day tomorrow - parcel to pick up - nothing exciting just Henry Hoover bags, hairdressers and need to pick up gold chain from police station. I don't think I mentioned I found gold chain in street a while ago,I handed it in to police station, no one has claimed it so they want me to pick it up. Will probably cash it in - never done this before - feels a bit chavvy - will probably get not a lot but don't want chain. At least whatever I get can go towards paying off Halifax card.

Pizza sounds good and nice to have on hand for another night as well.

Hopefully Mr SA will perk up soon. I took an absolute hankering for a Greggs sausage roll while on chemo first time. Like Mr SA it didn't end well and even the sight of a blue and white bag still makes me feel queasy...at least he didn't buy it :o

Have you anything nice planned for the weekend to give yourself a wee break?
