Good evening all and thanks for your support.
Mr SA just sleeping all the time tonight. He says he's exhausted. I asked the nurse if this is normal after stem cell transplant and she said yes. Some people just take longer than others to recover. She said there should be a gradual improvement over the next few days. So discharge not imminent just yet.
Garden starting to take shape already.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Well that's three good things...
He's getting better
He's staying where he is
You're surroundings look better making you feel better.
You're doing a grand job SA, please don't ever forget that.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Nothing to report on the Mr SA front. He's still the same. Still sleepy, still not eating or drinking, still immobile. Hopefully he'll start to pick up soon. Someone coming to fit grab rails tomorrow. DD will be in so don't need to take time off work.
Garden looks great! Very bare but then I wanted everything severely cut back. Can finally see daylight again! Mr SA will be amazed when he finally comes out of hospital. Just need to spend the weekend tidying it up a bit and planting the bulbs I bought so hopefully the weather will be good.
New weekly budget starts again today. £5 left from last week's so this has gone towards paying off the Halifax card. New total for this is £3345.00. Seems a drop in the ocean but every little helps! Keep chipping away at it. Another Mr A order coming tonight but less than £40 this week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Keep on going. Sending you positive thoughts. How you can think about budgets at a time like this just shows what a gritty fighter you are.

More positive message from you SA, everyday he should be a bit better, better gradual that a speedy recovery because he may go downhill with a bang.
Glad garden is looking good ( but bare ) they didn't find any treasure in the "jungle" then whilst they where tidying it up.
Good news on the finance front, keep up the good work.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -

Mr SA still the same last night - he seems to have hit a bit of a plateau. To be honest he looks absolutely terrible - all mottled and blotchy. They were going to try him off the catheter today and give him some physio. Googled stem cell transplant side effects and it says the tiredness can go on for up to a couple of years!!!!!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Friday at last!
We held a MacMillan coffee morning today at work and raised approx £500.
Mr SA is still poorly. He is covered in a rash and very hot to the touch. Still very sleepy and confused. DS was there last night and is very concerned about him. He's been like this for almost a week now. Grab rails were fitted yesterday - they've done a good job.
Paid £2.65 into my VSP today which now makes it £254.46. Payday on Monday so there will be some more financial activity then!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I went to a MacMillan coffee morning myself which raised £430, the organiser was sooo made up. Did'nt win any prizes on the raffle but bought loads of cakes.:)
Lets hope the coming week brings better news for Mr SA.
Keep your chin up.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -
I suppose as long as the doctors and nurses don't think it is unusual then awful as it is I guess it is a normal reaction.
Good on the coffee morning
sending hugs SA, really big hugs.
