Just a quickie - didn't claim chain within 28 days so has been "disposed of". Oh well! Mr SA a bit better tonight.

Great news that Mr SA is perking up a bit, but pants to the chain. Wonder what "disposed of" actually means.

I hope you're getting a little time for yourself with all the running about...I found it exhausting and it never went on for the length of time you're enduring. How are you feeling about things? Is there any support attached to the hospital to help?

Always here if you need an ear.

Thanks kissjenn - maybe "disposed of" means has been sold and proceeds going towards police Xmas do! Would like to think it's gone to charity.

Mr SA not too bad tonight. He was sick but then managed to keep down some toast. He seems a bit perkier too.

I've had quite a productive weekend. Have decided to upgrade my rubbish phone (one of Mr SA's cast offs) for an iPhone. Have gone for iPhone 4S not 5 as too expensive on contract with Tesco Mobile who I'm with at the moment but on PAYG. Never had a contract phone before - have capped it so I don't go over but doubt I would. I've got an iPod and iPad so makes sense to get iPhone too.

SecondlyI am getting my eyes tested tomorrow for the first time ever in my life (yes I know - don't nag). Starting to struggle with small print.

Thirdly - anyone who has read my previous diary will know I converted DS's old room to a gym when he moved out. Unsurprisingly I haven't had a lot of time to use it just lately. This morning I got on the treadmill and did 3 miles part running part speed walking. So not gone to pot yet!!!

Watching the X Factor then going to have a nice long soak in the bath with a glass of wine and some chill out music on the iPad. Then early night ready for work tomorrow.

Coming up next week is champagne afternoon tea with work mates on Thursday (all being well). Looking forward to this - been planned for a while.

    Hi Sun.A, :hello:

Sounds like you had a good weekend - well deserved! :)

Glad to hear MrSA is beginning to perk up, must be such a relief..
    (((hugs)))

Shame about the gold, but par for the course (same thing done to me twice with lost bikes I'd handed in ).

    Thanks all!

Eye test showed what I suspected - I need reading glasses. Could have got a pair as cheap as £25 but of course I found a pair I really liked for £99! Might as well get a pair I actually like! However, got a free pair of prescription sunglasses with them so maybe not too bad. Will be wonderful not to have to squint at small print anymore!

So far this week is proving to be an expensive one!

Much much better with specs you like which you will wear & sometimes the cheaper ones are not as robust.

  • My glasses were £25 ;) I don't wear them very often though hence why I went for those. I think if I were using them more often I'd have gone with a nicer pair.

Champagne Thursday sounds absolutely fabulous dahhhling, enjoy! And wow well done you on the treadmill....all this running around after Mr SA has it's uses then? :) xx
