I was more concerned that you watched x factor than having your eyes tested, hopefully now they have been tested and you need glasses you may realise the x factor is in fact rubbish and will watch something else instead.:)x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

Amber I'm afraid I love the X Factor always have! However it's not as good as it used to be when it first started. Also trying to get into Strictly. Oh dear there's no hope for me!
DFW someone at work said I could have got a pair from Wilko for a fiver! Tried all the cheap pairs on first but didn't like any of them on me, Maybe shouldn't have been so vain!
Champers afternoon tea is to say cheerio to workmate who is retiring.
Now need to rein it in on the spending front for the rest of the month.
Mr SA a bit better tonight. Seems to be recovering slowly. Still a bit confused though but his sodium levels are low which I know causes confusion. He should be having brain scan this week so fingers crossed it's good news. Dreading it though. He's started eating a bit more and actually keeping it down so a bit of progress there. Bumped into a woman I used to talk to on the other ward he was on and her hubby is very ill now, they've stopped his treatment and she was called in twice in the middle of the night last week when he took a turn for the worse. Very scary stuff.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Not saying I spend a lot of time away from home at the moment but when I got home tonight a spider had spun a very large web across my front door and was sitting happily in the middle looking very well established!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I would consider this a very good omen, signifying that your home is a place of safety behind the door (think Herod's men, Robert the Bruce etc).
Plus of course you're likely to have fewer annoying filthy-footed flies inside..
Always a bonus, eh?0 -
Thanks all - the spider was "relocated" with the help of a sweeping brush! It ran off to find a new home.
Mr SA still not picking up, only eating bits, still confused and still sleeping most of the time. Saw his consultant and he has ordered MRI scan. He thinks it's the severity of the treatment hitting him for six but wants to be sure. Fingers crossed!
£10 underspend on last week's budget so another £10 gone off to Halifax card. New balance £3181.50 and now a bit nearer my £300 off in October target.
Heart in mouth time this morning when walking dog - she slipped her collar - must have worked loose - and ran off. I had to run up a very steep bank on the park shouting her, felt like my lungs were about to come out of my mouth! Luckily she stopped at the park gates just short of the road. Have now tightened collar. What an ordeal!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
