Hello Mrs SA , Im sorry youre having such a tough haul at the mo , Thought Id drop in with my drive to work this morning, Was so beautiful I thought Id share the peace of it with you.
Frost on the grass, I drive alongside the sea (and over it in parts) on my 20 mile commute, The sea was flat like glass today with the sun just starting to peep up out of it, the rays stretching like paint on paper across the water, changing colours from red to orange to white as it rose up, The whole day waking up ever so gently, with promise of a good day ahead. The loch was covered in birds, Swans, Ducks, Geese and other ones that Im not smart enough to identify, I had to roll down the window .. (yes even at 5C) to listen to their murmurings and chatterings.
Usual commute .. 20 miles, saw about 6 other cars until I got to town .. then maybe about 10 more on the last mile across town at 8 o clock .
Sorry to jump into your diary, but I thought you might enjoy some Orcadian peacefulness today. xIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -
Thank you all so much - and Mara that sounds so lovely - apart from the frost that is! Frost in October!!!! But how lovely to drive to work alongside the sea. I would love to live by the sea. Maybe one day (sigh)!
Mr SA went down for a brain scan last night just as we were leaving. Results should be back today. Will worry until I know the results. Doing a lot of pacing mentally. If I find out tonight I'll let you all know the outcome whatever it is.
Champagne afternoon tea was fab yesterday and a lovely diversion. Feel guilty sometimes doing nice things without Mr SA but somehow couldn't see him doing an afternoon tea he's more of a beer and burger person!
Just been out to the pub with two workmates and we shared a bottle of vino between us - how the other half live eh! But how nice it was just to sit and chat and take my mind off things for a short time!
Halifax haven't taken the minimum repayment off the card today like they usually do on the 11th. Don't know if this is because I've already paid off more than the minimum? Still got the money put to one side in my bank account so if still not gone by Monday will pay it manually.
£2.74 to go into VSP today so this is now £266.46. Hoping to pass the £300 mark by the end of the challenge. This is my Christmas money this year. Can't even begin to think about Christmas at the moment but at least the money is in place.
One day at a time!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Fingers crossed for scan results!
Don't feel bad about having time out for yourself. You not only need it now to stay sane and continue to be there for Mr SA, but 'me' time will be in very short supply when he gets home and you are full time carer again, so enjoy it while you can XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
