Thanks to all of you - you are all so lovely and encouraging
Mr SA fine tonight - improving daily. No news on the scan yet. Daren't tempt fate by asking coward that I am. Am hoping that no news is good news.
Have been faffing about with Facebook today. Now I have iPhone thought I'd better make the most of it. Glad I went on FB have "found" loads of old friends I had lost touch with. Plus some of my cousins are on there too and I only ever see them at funerals!
Today has been a no spend day - just realised!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -

Thanks Buffy
Just reporting in to say I've been so busy just lately so that's why I've not been around. Usually post at work during lunchtime in the week and work has been manic! Busy at night at home too.
Mr SA doing well, picking up by the day. No scan results given to me but Mr SA says his consultant told him the results were good. His nurse confirmed this must be the case as the nursing staff only tend to find out if the results are bad.
Will be reporting back tomorrow with financial update re extra payment and VSP.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Hello Sun.A, :hello:
Apologies for not being around much recently.
Agree with everyone; if tests or scans do not show anything which requires urgent action, the results just filter back slowly through the system.
Sounds like MrSA is making definite headway now, thank goodness. Hopefully it won't be long before he's back home.0 -
Hi everyone and thank goodness it's Friday!
Mr SA improving slowly - no sign of him coming home yet but he's still very immobile and quite confused so they are working on him. Hopefully won't be too much longer now!
Friday is finance tidy up day so have paid £40 off the Halifax credit card, paid off my Tesco spending card and put £5.65 in my VSP. Target of paying £300 off Halifax card by end of October is shaping up quite nicely with £158.50 paid off so far and £141.50 to go. Should do it.
Now got reading glasses for the first time in my life! On a downhill spiral!
Have been busy all week at work and then busy at home as I've been trying to do the Fly Lady cleaning thing. Every so often I go off on one and do mad things like this but the novelty soon wears off so no need to worry about me! House is nice and clean though and it's kept my mind off hospitals and my hands off the wine!
I used to do tons of exercise before Mr SA got sick and I'm really missing it. Doing loads of walking - well in excess of 10,000 steps a day (more like 16,000 on average!). However, I'm aware I'm not doing any toning work. The only way I think I can fit this in is by doing it at the weekend. Once Mr SA is home I can go back to my routine (hopefully!). So will dig out 30 Day Shred DVD, Wii Fit and have bought a Davina app on my iPad. Just half an hour Saturday and Sunday will be better than nothing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Just found out about taxi - am so shocked even though I only knew her from MSE. Totally gutted and not ashamed to say I have shed a few tears for her. It's all happened so suddenly.
By the way Mr SA is going to be moved to a brain injury rehab soon prior to being discharged. His consultant says he needs to get more mobile before coming home. Mr SA is happy with this. They are taking him off some of his medication as they think this could be causing his confusion.
Damn cancer - about time they found a cure for it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Such a shame about Taxi. I'd never been a regular on her diary and I'm sad about that now as she was obviously a wonderful lady Xx
Great news about the rehab centre. It made a massive difference to DH so fingers crossed it will for Mr SA too (and you!) XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
Best win so far - holiday to Florida0
