Hope Mr SA starts to show some improvement soon.

well done on the coffee morning. The shop next door to work had a cake sale instead of a coffee morning....and I might have had one or two cakes but don't tell Mr Dumyat because he thinks I'm sticking to my diet!!

    Hello Sun.A, :hello:

    Just popping in for a catch-up. :)

Well done on the coffee morning - feels good to 'give something back' doesn't it? :)

Sorry to read DS was upset to see his Dad so poorly. Sleep is very healing of course, and especially good if it provides a respite from uncomfortable symptoms/side-effects.

Reckon I'd be offering MrSA sips of Manuka honey when he is awake. Might even do a bit of kitchen experimentation beforehand, to see if it's possible to combine a taste of his favourite tipple - will it mix into honey (use very small quantities)?

As ever; congrats on the great job you're doing with your finances, Sun.A. :T

    As always - thanks all

Mr SA perking up healthwise but he is very confused to say the least. You can't have a conversation with him at the moment and he is giving the ward a rough ride with his behaviour. He thinks he's on holiday and keeps asking to "check out"! This is how he goes when he's getting better, believe it or not, but the ward aren't used to him like the last one was.

Finance wise as it's payday today I've paid £45 off the Halifax card, so this is now £3300. My goal for October is to pay off £300 to get it down to £3000 (IF I can). I've added £6.26 to my VSP so this is now £260.72 and paid off my Tesco spending card. I had to pay for the garden mostly out of savings so I've put £50 back in today, would have liked to have put back £100 but didn't want to leave myself short.

I've been doing some gardening over the weekend, tidying up and planting bulbs for the spring. I don't really enjoy gardening but needs must! Had a bit of a "why us" moment as well. Always happens on a Sunday when I'm on my own. Got very down thinking about the situation, why did he get so ill and don't even go there as to how much worse off we are a month without his wages! We had a lovely life, taking the dog to the coast and nice parks, meals out, lovely holidays abroad and now it's all gone. Just like that!

Right time to stop wallowing and get a grip!

Youre allowed a wee wallow, just now & again ....

Your garden will be a riot of colour in the springtime, Mr SA will enjoy sitting out there once the warmer evenings come back .. Im missing them already, Feels like winter up here in the far far north, nights are drawing in, I quite like the dark cosy evenings, but dont feel ready for them yet.
Keep smiling SA, even if you dont feel like it, People will smile back because they will think youre bonkers ! :)
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..
  • You're allowed a wallow hun :)

Good news is that Mr SA is still with you, the more noise and fuss he's kicking up - the better...surely this means he's getting better? So although not nice to have happened to you at least he's still alive & kicking ( not literally I hope ;) ) I'm sure your life will go back to being lovely soon enough and things that are sent to try us always make us 'grow' I think, it makes us appreciate them even more when they happen. I hope you are feeling a bit brighter today though :)

Garden sounds like its coming along nicely :)

    Hello everyone!

Thanks for the support as always. Mr SA still the same. OT is making enquiries about equipment at home so looks like discharge day is looming. Still feel a bit down but guess this is normal given the circumstances. As beanie says - got to keep on plodding!

  • All very normal Hun and to be expected after what you've gone/are going through.

I prescribe chocolate, wine and a good weepy film so you can let it all out. Then pick yourself up and carry on, for what else can we do?!

    Hugs Xx
