amber - that's just one credit card - I owe nearly £3500 on the other one! Just trying to get rid of the one with the closest 0% finish date first. Will tackle the other one next as it doesn't finish until February 2015.
Mr SA was ok last night. Took him out in his wheelchair again round the hospital grounds. My arms and back are still aching today and my shins are bruised from where the chair banged into them. He starts his next batch of chemo tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Impressive all round SA xxx
I don't know where I have been but glad to see you guys had a good day Saturday.
I am not doing so well on the debt front but hey ho it will get paid somehow. Must get selling things. I have a shed full!
How are things this week?

Thanks all! Your messages really keep me going! You don't realise how much it means to me!
Mr SA still ok. Chemo should be starting again today. He's still very tearful and to be honest has been driving me and his sister mad with tearful distressing phone calls all day long. Anyway he's seen the doctor this morning and has been diagnosed with depression (on top of everything else!) and they will be treating him for this. He's been told his treatment for the lymphoma should be finished by the end of September. We were initially told 6 months of treatment back in April so this just about ties in.
Talk about never a dull moment - DS got back from work yesterday to find his cat had given birth to three kittens!! He never even noticed she was pregnant (but then he is male!). I've been nagging him for ages to get his cats neutered but he's not got round to it - so what was he expecting!
Waiting (not very) patiently for payday. Have a plan for the credit cards. As follows:
Barclaycard
Balance £740 - 0% finishes just before end August
End July - pay £200 off
Just before end August - pay £200 off
Lend myself the remaining £340 out of savings
End September - pay £200 back into savings
Balance remaining - £140 - plan to "find" this amount by end September by various means/shuffling of money, etc
Halifax Card
Balance remaining £3400 (after minimum payment in August) 0% finishes end January 2015
From October onwards start paying off extra £200 per month on top of minimum payment.
See what the balance is nearer the 0% finish date but think it should be cleared by end of 2014.
Then (in theory) job done - debt free once again.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hello SA, your day out sounded fun
and i had a little laugh at the little britain comment you made as when you was describing what he did I also thought of them too!! LOL at your ds! That is such a male thing to do, not even notice the cat is pregnant
I think borrowing from savings is a good plan I often do what you described as my tenant is always late paying. I borrow the money she owes from a savings pot (or two) and then as she drip pays me (as she does each month!!!) I pay it back into savings. It's good to have the budget all there on payday I find so I don't forget who's been paid, who hasn't and what needs topping up!
I hope you get another day out with Mr Sa soonxx
