Looking for the silver lining

Hi all!
Despite Mr SA promising not to phone me so often he phoned me 3 times while I was waiting for the bus to go home just after I'd left him! I switched my mobile off when I went to bed and then switched it back on this morning to find I'd got 5 voice mails from him overnight. Just getting into shower this morning when I got a call on him mobile from a nurse saying he'd been trying to ring me - it was 5.30am! All he wanted to tell me was that his catheter is off. Have now put my mobile on silent as I'm sure it's getting on work colleagues nerves (and mine!) by ringing all the time - although he's also tried my work line a couple of times. I've had a couple of quite distressing calls from him saying he "must get out of here" and sounding really upset. I've decided to take him in our small TV which we use in the kitchen tonight so at least he has something to watch as he's driving me and the nurses to distraction!
Hopefully there'll be news on the scan tonight!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Still no scan news although Mr SA claims doctor told him he's starting more chemo at the end of the week. Took TV and indoor aerial to hospital tonight but although I tried tuning it in in different parts of the room there was still no signal. So no TV for Mr SA again as hospital systems still down. Pity as this would calm him down a lot as he is so bored, he can't concentrate on reading or playing games on his Kindle or phone. Before I left tonight I put him BBC iPlayer on and put it on Top Gear for him. It pacified him for the time being.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hello all
Mr SA can come home for the day on Saturday but he has to go back to the hospital at night. He badly wanted to stay overnight at home but the hospital think he's too immobile and at risk of falling. Not seen a doctor personally to confirm this but Mr SA claims his consultant said the scan results were good. Chemo definitely starts again Monday. It's pretty obvious there has been a good improvement from the way Mr SA is in himself.
So things are looking positive.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
