* pours wine xxx gives hugs*
It is a fine line between being informed and scaring the absolute !!!! out of yourself. I wouldn't look at websites unless you have a specific question about treatment or meds. You can't unread things and it is awful. genuinely bloody awful.
You have to remember this is your story not anyone else's and you know your husband and how stubborn he is and how determined to get better. You focus on that.
You have already seen how much meds can change a person - after all that is why people take drugs for a high. They all affect your personality and perceptions. That is the explanation.
Glad doggy is ok, never good coming home to a mess like that.
Yes driving is a good idea. I hate it but it makes life much easier. apart from the cyclists.
I am sure none of this makes any difference but I am thinking of you.
Love Buffy

Sorry you feel down SA, and it's normal for the 'little' things like the suitcase to be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
The internet is a marvellous thing, but as you say it can be a scary place too. It's like me with pregnancy symptoms and signs of miscarriage, as soon as I've read about it I have it. I suppose the symptoms of a brain tumour that are there at the end will have been there earlier too, so it's not surprising that Mr SA has displayed them.
I can't get my head around cold soup either.

Hello Sun.A, :hello:
(((Hugs))) Hope you're feeling brighter and stronger today.
I agree with Buffy and Lucky - the internet is a two-edged sword.
Can you ask for a chat with DH's consultant? He's the only one who might be able to tell you whether the symptoms you're seeing are a result of disease progression, or simply an effect of all the medication that's being pumped into MrSA.
It is awful when you notice things like MrSA's suitcase, which remind you how much your lives have changed, and so quickly..
Wish I could tell you how to stop it hurting; would love to know m'self as it's something that still catches me out occasionally.
Wine helps. In moderation, of course.Sun_Addict wrote: »I can't get my head round gazpacho - cold soup - I've tried it before on holiday but mmm.
Who said you're not allowed to warm it up? I actually prefer hot gazpacho; yesterday added re-fried left-over broad-beans and bacon bits to mine for lunch - which made the whole bowl very tasty, on the warm side of tepid - sounds a bit odd but was absolutely delicious, and filling.
Am going to nuke another bowl-full in a minute, and add tiny cubes of cheese I think - love the way gazpacho can be turned into so many different tastes just by adding an ingredient or two or changing the temperature it's served at.Sun_Addict wrote: »Dog is much better poop wise - thanks to those who suggested natural yoghurt - she loves it and it looks like it's done the trick.
Glad to hear it - a dog with runny-tummy is one complication you really don't need in your life right now..0 -
Afternoon SA,
Life can be unfair, you've certainly had your ups and downs latelyI really hope the wheel turns soon and you get some good news. P.s all these thoughts you are sharing with us sound perfectly normal to me. I've not been in your situation, wouldn't like to suggest I even know how you must be feeling but I should think feelings of pessimism would feature as i'm sure you must have been suffering from shock!
p.s Costa-del-Skegness is okI used to go to school about 30 miles from there and it was our local haunt on nice days as was Mablethorpe and Ingoldmells
Oh and as for soup I had a vegetable one this lunch time and it was lovely even in this heat! DS2 ate all his up too

Thank you all - your comments always make me feel better
Mr SA was much improved on last night tonight. A nurse who hadn't seen him since last Tuesday couldn't believe how he'd progressed since then. He's still a bit wobbly and confused but nowhere near as much as yesterday. He is also trying to get out of bed again. You should see the state of the bed he's in. It's broken and sags in the middle and looks more like a hammock. A new bed is on order. Actually it looks quite comfy in a strange way.
So for today he is ok - one day at a time.
Finance wise - I have just realised I am only halfway between paydays and funds are dwindling fast. Should be ok if I'm careful, have tons of food in the freezer and cupboards and should, in theory, only need to buy fruit and veg. A challenge to focus on to take my mind off things.
Soup was fine by the way and didn't overheat me too much - unlike the hot sweaty bus journey to hospital after work! Thought I was going to pass out!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
