Hello all and thank you for your replies

Didn't see the doctor tonight but Mr SA said he told him he was happy with scan results. Asked nurse to confirm this and she said yes there has been some progress. So some positive news for once. Looks like the chemo has finally started to work.

Thanks all - not cracking open the champagne yet but at least it's a step forward. They let us take him out in wheelchair tonight and he was shocked how hot it is. He cried with relief at what the doctor said to him.

Got a new microwave from Currys - Panasonic like the old one - £59.99. Not a combi like the old one but I rarely used the combi aspect anyway. Decided it wasn't worth the extra to pay for something I'd hardly use.

At least I'll sleep easier tonight. I'm not deluding myself and I know it's a long road ahead but for today it's one step forward. Phew!!!!
