De-lurking just to send you hugs SunAddict and to wish you the best possible outcome. I really hope you have positive news to tell us all very soon. You are doing so well in coping with this, I would be an absolute mess.

I'm sorry you feel you are struggling. You have dealt with everything so well and in such a dignified manner, but you are perfectly entitled to a breakdown.

I agree totally with PLMBL.
Nobody knows how they would cope until they have been in your situation. My friend sadly lost her DH to cancer, on the outside to others it was as if she was coping ok, but as we had been friends since school she would open upto me, which she later told me helped her a lot. I am so glad she is able to talk to me as hopefully you can open upto us. Nobody knows what the future holds, just take one day at a time. My friends OH had a rare cancer and from the start they told them it was terminal and that they didn't know how long he had. He lived for five years and they lived life to the max. There were periods when he was so ill they thought he would not last the day but he pulled through.

Oh you guys are so lovely - thank you so much - I'm so touched, I really am
Tonight's visit not too bad, he stirred a little, certainly knew I was there and I managed to coax him to eat something and have a sip of water. However, maybe not such a good idea about the food as he was then very sick. Helped the nurses clean him up feeling a bit guilty. They are keeping an eye on his temperature as it was bordering on high and he had a chest x-ray while I was there. After that he fell into a deep sleep so I left to go home.
Plenty of stuff to do tonight to keep me busy at home. Got to keep busy to stop dwelling on things so much. It's like one minute it goes out of my mind then suddenly I remember the horror of it all and my heart thuds.
On the finance front - I've drawn out my eBay proceeds from PayPal and Mr T's sent me a £13 off voucher if I spend £90 online. Decided to do a big shop and take advantage of this offer.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
SA, it would be worth saying casually to a nurse, something like "oh I noticed that Mr SA wasn't able to reach his drink - can you keep an eye on his hydration levels", so that they know you won't keep quiet. If he isn't eating, he needs to be drinking lots.
In terms of Mr T, you could always order something that can be returned (a kettle?) to reach the £90. Sneaky, but you also get to keep the points. Hehehe
Hugs, glad you can offload here, Satchmo xxWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0
