Oh no SA, good job you went downstairs to check on what was going on.
Well done on setting some goals, they sound doable!
Spa day sounds nice with DD, would she like that with afternoon tea perhaps? xxMummytogirls x0 -
Unfortunately DD would hate a spa day. I've mentioned before she's not in the least girly, never uses beauty products or has any beauty treatments. She's nothing like me. As for the hot air balloon, both of us would be terrified. I think I'll end up getting her some Chanel perfume and a nice cake/wine/balloon. I'm pretty certain she'll have a night out with friends lined up. She's been a lot easier to get along with just lately, maybe she's finally growing up.
The decorations are down and packed away. Took ages. Didn't manage to put up that many so doesn't look as bare as usual.
Finances now completely sorted. VSP 2017 has begun with the princely sum of £3.03. £365 has been put away for potential holiday. Back to strict budgeting now, draw a line under last month's overspending and start afresh.
Trying to persuade Mr SA to fetch the paper, it's raining cats and dogs here and he won't go out until it stops. He is due a scan on 18 January (had to cancel his last appointment as I was in hospital). Then check up with consultant 20 February. His mobility has definitely got worse but he's also got lazier!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I do remember you mentioning that now SA. If you want to do something nice that she can keep how about a nice card from moonpig or funky pigeon. I like to make these for people and add old photos etc. Theres usually offer codes knocking about for FP too.
Im feeling positive with a fresh start too... we can all do this :T xxMummytogirls x0 -
I'm drawing a line under December 2016! It went a bit pear shaped money wise but at least I've got wiser and I'm not throwing in the towel as I've done in the past!

Happy New Year SA
I am with you lets draw a line under December 2016, a fresh start and hoping for a happy and healthy 2017.
My Mum died 6 weeks before my 30th, so may I gently encourage you to do something with your daughter, anything - What did you do together when she was a little girl? Being together is such a precious thing.
Much love BMAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Or as my Mum would say, brush yourself down, tomorrow is another day or

Mr SA finally went to fetch the paper at 3pm. Came back minus the magazines inside. As these are the best part of the Sunday paper !!!!!
