Foot spa is fab I now have bubbles, old one stopped bubbling. Dog and cat are fascinated with it, had to stop dog putting her ball in it!
As waterproof cast cover is leaking, had shower minus cast this morning and it was great. Going to try cast free bath tonight.
DS didn't visit, claims he's still ill. Have to give him benefit of doubt, it could be genuine.
Payday today, have paid off CC, got to "do" finances properly though, will do this in a bit. Need to get the laptop out and update spreadsheets.
Cross with Mr SA (yet again!!). I bought a few bottles of spirits when they were on offer so we had a nice selection of drinks over Christmas. As I've had to be careful alcohol-wise because already unsteady on feet, I've only had a couple of drinks of spirits. Mr SA is quite heavy handed with spirits so the odd drink we've had I've poured out. Turns out he's been topping his drink up on the sly and there is very little leftThought we had unopened bottle of spiced rum - half empty. No wonder he can't get up in the morning! Did he think I wouldn't notice! And no wonder he's hardly touched his beer! Told him he's had his share and what's left is mine. It sounds petty but I feel he's taken advantage of me being out of action and been greedy.

I remember the days (pre head injury) when Mr Lucky used to do the same with drink. Worst was when I discovered he'd drank a whole bottle I'd been given for my birthday - I hadn't had a drop ! So selfish!
Hope foot spa did the trick XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Had a lovely bath without the cast, felt good to wiggle foot around in water. Was a bit apprehensive but all ok. Rubbed on the bio oil afterwards. Wounds are healing very well, one side is barely visible.
The physio said that I don't really need the cast as such, as the plates and screws are holding my ankle together, but it's there to remind me not to put weight on it.
I went in the bedroom to get something, Mr SA was just getting out of bed and put his foot on my cast!!! I'm not joking that man is a disaster zone, no concept of danger whatsoever!

Bath sounds just what you needed.
Hope you manage to get out soon.

DS and family finally turned up today. Had to change our plans to get a taxi to the local for lunch. Total chaos to be honest. DGD was ill and DGS was grizzly most of the time. They only stayed a couple of hours. Dog was showing off stealing rice cakes from the baby and trying to lick his ears.
Have hidden all the spirits. Mr SA won't be able to get to them, they're right at the bottom of a cupboard and he can't reach anything too low down.
Have done finances properly today. Need to start putting money aside for a holiday. Aiming for Mr SA's birthday at the end of April. This of course depends on Mr SA's next scan being clear, me being back on my feet and ok to fly and the home improvements.
Ankle has been hurting today right at the front. Don't know why as surgery was at sides. Tried to loosen it off with the exercises but felt locked.
No plans to go anywhere tonight, wouldn't have even without ankle break. Two years ago we went to the local for a meal and ended up spending the evening with Mr SA's brother and wife plus two of their friends. I had a lovely time but unfortunately Mr SA got carried away with drinks and had to be carried home. He ruined what had been a lovely night (for me). He really can't take his drink, don't know why he does it.
We've got a Mr M curry meal deal for tonight plus a bottle of champagne. Doubt I'll see midnight unless I do my usual trick of falling asleep on the sofa with the dog and waking up just in time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Happy New Year everyone
As predicted I fell asleep about 10pm but woke up just in time to see the new year in. Even had a glass of champagne left to toast it in. Went to bed but heard Mr SA shuffling about downstairs (probably looking for the hidden spirits) so went to see what was going off and he was on the kitchen floor unable to get up. Managed to help him up with cushions and my wheelchair and made him go to bed. The back door was wide open, had to lock it and make sure everything was switched off and candles blown out.
He's still in bed at the moment.
Well that was a rubbish Christmas and end to the year. Got to go down in history as my worst Christmas ever
Looking back over 2016 it's not been a bad one:
*Mr SA has remained in remission
*New grandson born in June
*Some lovely lunches out with friends
*All ok on the finances front
*Three fabulous holidays
*My job is now permanent
*I got back to my WW goal weight
Goals for 2017:
*Top of the list is to get back on my feet and start getting my fitness back
*Back to WW, hopefully not too much damage done
*Must stick to budgets, been all over the place just lately
*New kitchen/bathroom/heating
*Refurbish our bedroom and DD's bedroom if funds allow
*Decorate dining room if funds allow
*Hopefully a couple of nice holidays (if funds allow)
*Get promoted at work
*Make lots of arrangements to meet up for lunches with friends
I think that's plenty to be getting on with.
Plans for today are to take the Christmas decorations down. Already made a bit of a start on it. Usually I have a really good clean up for the new year but that's going to be too difficult at the moment. It's going to take me forever to catch up with all the cleaning. Mr SA is certainly untidy that's for sure.
Here's hoping 2017 is going to be a good year for us allI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Ah SA..what a saga (or three!) Is Mr SA getting less coordinated do you think? It seems like it's all more effort for you at the moment, although can completely see it may be partly because you're tired and hacked off with your ankle? Maybe worth getting checked out?
Your DD..hmm.. how about a treat out for the two of you? Would she appreciate that? Spa day? Hot air balloon ride...(when you're fit to fly!! :rotfl:) dunno. Was just trying to think of something that maybe just the two of you could do.
Love the resolutions..planning too post mine shortly. We did some together as a family last night...we do some for ourselves and then pass them around to be added to by the rest..gives some very frank results...:D and I may ignore some :rotfl:MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi SA - hope the ankle is feeling better today.
I'd forget about 2016 Christmas and put it behind you. You've coped magnificently over the holiday period. Looking back over your Year you've had some really good things happening and i hope all your goals for 2017 come true.
Mr SA sounds a bit like my dad was with regard to alcohol. He was such a lovely man but couldn't take his drink. Used to drive my mum up the wall!
Brizzle's idea about mum/daughter day out is a good one. I'd try that when you are up and running. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
