Brizzle our kitchen is almost 17 years old! Having a completely different layout and patio doors where the window is.

In the end Mr SA took dog out twice yesterday. First time on the park and second just for a ride round the streets on his scooter which she loves doing.

Had a bit of a meltdown last night with Mr SA. He was reluctant to help out, my ankle was really hurting and he seems totally oblivious to the fact that it's his fault I'm in this state. If it had happened at any other time of year I think I could've coped with it better, although I'd still be gutted. I just feel I'm missing out on all the run up to Christmas that I enjoy.

Anyway I must stop moping about, I'll be back at work Monday and have got to wrap presents for DS's lot as they're visiting tomorrow and will probably be the last time before Christmas. Going to try again to have a good clean up today as well. The new vacuum cleaner is great and much lighter. Keep asking Mr SA to put the old one away but not happened yet.

I can't believe how fast the days are going by to say I'm doing very little!

  • Hope you've had an ok day SA xx

  • Yes hope things went well today SA. Pleased that the new vacuum has proved a blessing!

(Have picture in my head of Mr SA and dog whizzing round the streets on his scooter with dog's ears blowing in the breeze like a shampoo ad! Mind you her ears may not be the flapping sort at all!:rotfl:)

    Have a good evening SA.

SSG he's becomimg quite the local celebrity with the dog on his scooter :) She's a Jack Russell by the way, so not so flappy ears but a real character!

Sent Mr SA out for large Christmas sack to put DGD's doll's house in. He couldn't find one so came back with 2 small ones!!!!

Ankle not so sore tonight thankfully but quite alarmed that removable cast is disintegrating!

Sent Mr SA out with £5 for local paper and Lotto ticket, total £2.65. He only got 35p change. I thought it was wrong he said. So he didn't question then! This broken ankle is costing me a fortune. I'm at the mercy of online shopping, spending over the odds on delivery charges and having to accept substituted items because I can't pick up an alternative myself. Yesterday lost £4 on too small Christmas sacks and today Mr SA shortchanged by £2. Plus all the taxis I'm going to have to get!

  • Cant believe how much this is costing you SA... Mr SA didn't buy 2 lotto tickets by accident did he?! Hopefully you will win!! xx

Nope I checked, just the one Lotto ticket.

Mr SA now saying he doesn't want to go to the panto tomorrow. Says he's not sure he can push me in the wheelchair. I'll go on my own if I have to.

DD shocked me this afternoon by asking if I wanted her to take the rubbish out to the bin! Obviously close to Christmas so thinking of her present :)

DS and family came this afternoon. DGD was being a little madam. Mr SA upset her at one stage telling her to shut up! She came to me for a hug. DGS was being his usual smiley self, he's such a pleasant little baby.

Bit miffed at one point I asked if anyone wanted a drink then was left to get said drinks! No offers of help! I really don't think anyone realises how hard it is to "do" on one leg! Asked for assistance in the end but shouldn't have to ask.

Just want to be up and running again now, fed up of being immobile.

  • Oh poor SA it gets worse! What with the sacks, lottery ticket and everyone expecting you to wait on them! I'd just sit there in future and tell everyone that they know where things are kept and to help themselves (after serving you first though!)

Take the dog to the panto instead. She sounds like she'd appreciate the gesture more!

Hope the ankle is comfortable tonight and you have a good night's rest.

Oh dear, all sounds very trying. Wish we lived nearer to help....

Have a good time at the panto. Take a taxi if you need to and get the theatre staff to help you to your spot
