Stick cleaner arrived this morning. Looks good, loads of attachments and much lighter than Henry. Not really tested it out yet.

Rearranged work OH referral. Can't settle to do anything this morning, clock watching.

Wil be back later after hospital.

Hope all goes well at hospital - thinking positive thoughts for you Sun.A ((hugs)).

ps. Re DD; have you told her exactly what you require of her and when, by way of help at home? If she is on the spectrum, that would make it easier for her to co-operate. Sorry for mentioning it, if you've tried being so upfront without success (it was a technique which worked well for my DH)..

Well that took forever! Was at hospital for hours. Poor BIL waited in reception all that time.

Stitches are out, not as bad as I anticipated. X-rays show all healing well as it should. Plaster replaced with innovative removable rubber cast, have been selected as part of trial whereby they think if have removable cast muscle damage will be minimal as can take off and exercise. Downside is regular monitoring by medical school on site and lots of exercise. Plus side is can take off and have a good scratch. Ankle still sore, swollen and bruised. Consultant said no work until Monday. Can't argue with that and there is no way I could've gone in tomorrow, I'm wiped out.

Mr SA was a pain at hospital, asked daft questions and insisted on wheeling me about in wheelchair, very nearly crashing into walls on several occasions.

New cast is held on by bandage and feels quite insecure at the moment but is very light. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Tried to give BIL £5 to treat himself to a drink for waiting for so long and taking me there and back but he wouldn't take it. I paid for parking though £5 not too bad for 3 hours.

  • Taking it off and having a good scratch sounds like a no brainer to me!:rotfl:

Still the new cast sounds very innovative and at least you will get back into exercising a bit earlier than you thought if all goes well. Take it easy for a bit though.

If you want to get Mr SA back to work, how about a position at the nearest fair working on the dodgems...........?:;)

Have a nice restful night SA.
