Have sent Mr SA out to get me the Soap & Glory set from local Boots. He must've ordered it as I've just had an email from them confirming my order. It's quite nice with him out of the way for a bit to be honest. He just makes a mess when he's in. He's "kindly" told DS not to bother coming again today. So no visitors today. Thank goodness I went out yesterday so I don't mind too much.

Trying to give everywhere a good clean today, it's slow progress, everything takes so long to do, but I've got all day no rush.

Mr M online shop arrived earlier on. Mr SA had literally just gone on the park with dog. Managed with the help of the driver. Treated myself to some of the My Spa stuff - it smells gorgeous and is so cheap on offer :)

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

  • Awwww SA im so glad you made it out to work and they bought you some lovely things. Are you going back to work on Wednesday then?

Hope I'm not speaking out of turn here but I think you need to have a word with DD. She needs to realise that she can't treat your house like this, she should be helping you not hindering! If she doesn't like she knows where the door is ha!! I would certainly not be having this at her age xx

Thanks both xx MTG I've spoken to DD several times she's even left on one occasion but unfortunately came back the next day. I really don't know why she's like this, all I've ever done is bail her out of many a sticky situation. I think she's got a personality disorder, she doesn't have any proper friends and rarely goes out. Sometimes I feel sorry for her, she should be settled with a nice boyfriend and maybe children at her age but it would be a brave man puts up with her and her mood swings. She can be alright at times, even quite nice but it doesn't last. I don't really want confrontation at the moment, I think if I said what I wanted to things would turn nasty. She mostly keeps out of the way, goes to work, pays her board and does her own cooking. She doesn't ask for anything but she doesn't give anything either. I just keep holding on to the thought that one day she'll move out. But I can't see it happening any time soon. I look at friends who have fantastic relationships with their daughters and feel sad. I was very close to my mum. Having said that no doubt there are lots of mothers like me. Thankfully DS, although he gave me a run for my money when he was younger, has always been loving and respectful. He's got a totally different personality to DD, he's outgoing, cheerful and an all round nice bloke. To be honest he takes after me and DD takes after her dad, they are very similar.

Mr SA is being a pain. Honestly he and DD are two peas in a pod. Untidy, lazy, unhelpful. I had just finished hoovering and mopping when he decided to shuffle down the garden. I asked him not to, there was no reason for him to do it. He brought loads of mud in, I've gone ballistic at him and he's laid on the bed watching TV now, sulking.

One sort of smile though - I sent him to local shops for some bananas. He went to a Mr S Local and bought about 20 huge bananas, I'm sure they're about 18p each. Mr SA will NEVER be MSE!

I am exhausted. I only managed to clean the downstairs rooms before I had to give up, took me most of the day, everything takes forever. It's so frustrating. Normally it takes me 2 hours tops to clean the whole house. Upstairs will have to wait until tomorrow. We need to change the duvet cover, not looking forward to that, it's a battle at the best of times.

DD must have been reading my last post as she has been all sweetness and light today, chatting and even asking about my ankle and work and tidying up after herself. (SA faints at this point!)

Mr SA had a fall and I had to move my cast out of the way pretty sharpish or he would've landed on it. Honestly that man is a disaster zone!

Have had a lovely long soak in the bath with a glass of wine and it was so soothing for my ankle which was starting to throb. Don't know if I'd bother with a wine advent calendar again - the wine has been nice but would be cheaper just to buy 24 small bottles of wine when on 25% off at Mr S to be honest. Might make my own next year.

Mr SA couldn't find the dog's ball thrower so went to local pet shop for new one. Took dog on park, came back, can't find ball. Went out on scooter looking for it. Turned up in the thrower!!!! Then he found the old one!!!!

Looking forward to feet up watching Strictly and X Factor tonight. Meal deal curry from Mr M so no cooking. Not a big fan of ready meals but dropping standards at the moment.

  • Have been off the boards lately SA so just catching up with your thread.

As I read it I was absolutely gobsmacked! I can't believe what you've been going through at home with Mr SA and DD! Can only echo everyone else's frustrated and angry posts! Wish we could all come round to yours with food and booze and have a "Cheer Up SA" night ( after locking Mr SA in the garden shed first!)

Still I was sorry to read your post on how Mr SA had changed and what a caring person he had been. It's very sad. And doesn't sound like there's much that can be done with DD. She is what she is now at 30 years old. Have a word with DS though and tell him to take no notice when Mr SA tells him not to come round. Is he and his family coming round to you on Christmas Day? Perhaps they could cook etc while you supervise?

Was so pleased that work at least made a fuss of you and you enjoyed your time there.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your bath and that at least DD has been more human today.

Re dog and Mr SA today - I'd keep the dog and let Mr SA go to dog's home.

    Take care SA.

Just catching up..,so so pleased you went into work. Sounds like you're really appreciated and missed.

Hmm to Miss SA. Disorder or not you need to also think about yourself too...when you're stronger perhaps you need to think about how you deal with this? For her future wellbeing as much as yours? She may realise more than you know, but not know how to change it. Stuck if you like. Can DS suggest or broker anything?

    Hope Sunday goes well xxx

  • Morning SA,

I understand re you not wanting the confrontation at the moment, I'm glad she was nice yesterday! Fingers crossed it continues :D

I do have to laugh at your tales of Mr SA, not the ones where he's nearly falling on top of your leg mind

    Happy Sunday xx
