DD is the world's worst cook - this is official! I do not want her cooking for me, I would rather starve. If you knew her you would agree. Not expecting any sympathy from her, when I was first taken into hospital I got a text from her saying "what's happened lol". I'm sure she thinks it's funny. She's certainly not taking it seriously.
I'm a lot better now I've got the wheelchair, has been so much easier for me. I've had very little pain today.
Before Mr SA got ill he would've spoiled me rotten and done everything. If ever he was off work he would do all the cleaning. He's a different person now, he even looks different - came across a photo of him today before the illness - he looks like a completely different person. He has a kind of wild eyed look about him now.
My problem is I'm too independent and too OCD. I won't let standards slip. I know I should try to turn a blind eye temporarily.
Another Mr S delivery tonight. Stocking up with wine at 25% off plus the £9 off £60 spend. Got more than enough in stock now. Did finances, all ok.
Had a look at financing for work on house, was going to remortgage but looks like it could be cheaper to get a loan over 7 years. Kitchen place coming out a week tomorrow, then builder will submit quote. No idea what the damage will be, have a figure in my head of £25-30k. Hope it's less not more.
At least I don't have to get up for work tomorrow. However, would prefer it to being laid up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Well...I can't say I approve
but you've put a good argument for the cooking at least
..but do insist on you laying off the cleaning and for gawd sake the ironing (work of the devil that is) when you can.. even with OCD tendencies you can look after No.1!
And....I can send up good ready meals if this goes on much longer via a special courier. We had some last week when OH was away and they were good. Practically homemade.
Pity re Mr SA. Understand hon, at least he's with you, but must be hard to have him so different.

Morning folks. Don't know where the time went to yesterday! Busy doing nothing
I bought the Ab Fab film from Virgin yesterday, been wanting to watch it for ages, good opportunity right now. Enjoyed it.
Work rang, manager coming to see me this week. Getting fed up of being indoors now. Mr SA thinks he'll be able to wheel me out but I just think that's another accident waiting to happen.
As I may be going back to work next week decided to try and get some jobs done which will be easy to do like sorting out recipes cut out of magazines. Been on my to do list for ages.
Bought Mr SA a tablet for Christmas £49.99 from QVC. He's got a Kindle but it's over 3 years old now and he only really uses it for the internet so will be better off with this one. Got to do all my Xmas shopping online now as won't be able to go into physical shops (not so sure that's a bad thing!). Only got to get something for DGS now. DS said not to buy too much as he's only a baby. He needs clothes so might get him a small toy and then gift vouchers for them to get what he needs.
Mr SA did absolutely nothing yesterday apart from take dog on park. I did more than him.
Managed to have a bath last night without assistance. Thanks goodness for the waterproof cast cover and Mr SA's bath board. It was divineI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Another nice bath tonight. Highlight of the day at the moment.
I know you lot will moan at me but today I've made some leek and potato soup, a fish pie and a beef stew in the slow cooker for Mr SA. I've also cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and done a small bit of ironing. Anything other than laying on the sofa falling asleep!
Ankle feeling loads better, not hurting much at all now.
Christmas decorations up, bit sparse this year, utilising an artificial tree bought a few years ago. Rather have a real one but needs must. Mr SA put the real tree up last year with the help of his carer. I can't help so fake one it is.
Getting really fed up now - not been outside since 26 November - going stir crazy.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hope you manage to get out soon. You've been more productive than me today and I don't have a broken ankle :oXxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I'm hoping my friends haven't forgotten they said they would take me out one day this week. They haven't mentioned it recently though .....
Will definitely go back to work next week. Need to for my own sanity.
Mr SA has found a programme on TV I might be interested in - Inside the Ambulance! I'm not a celebrity but get me out of here!!!!!!!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
