Thanks all. Tuna your post made me laugh! I've got a nice purple cast by the way. Alas most of our neighbours are elderly and disabled. Mr SA has been taking dog out though, even if for only short time. He's been coughing all night - I can't believe he spent £8 on a bottle of cough medicine yesterday! He has no idea of costs! £8!!!!!!!!

Mr SA still in bed! I've managed to get up and wash myself, empty the dishwasher, feed the animals and get myself a bit of breakfast, although I have no appetite and am struggling to eat.

Payday today. Have just cleared off credit card. Will look at finances properly later on.

Mr SA has got out old Christmas tree from back of cupboard under stairs. Talk about a mess! Artificial snow everywhere! Daren't look. He's taken the dog out, fetched a paper and is planning on ironing later - under supervision of course! He has to pitch in as at the moment he's the least disabled one. Shower stool arrived today so as soon as waterproof cast cover arrives I'll be able to have a shower. Fed up of strip washes.

One thing that made me smile when in hospital was they asked if I'd had a pregnancy test. When I laughed the nurse said you can still get pregnant in your forties! I'm 56!!! Must have been the lack of make up!

That must have bucked you up!:j. Why don't you tell Mr SA you're pregnant!:D

    Behave yourselves!

Still in agony but it goes off when I get my leg in a comfy position. However, as soon as I get comfortable I need the loo so it's off we go again with the hop, crawl and bum shuffle. This morning I woke up feeling flu-like achy. Hardly surprising as Mr SA is coughing all night in my face. So fed up.

Spoke to work yesterday they are trying to put things in place so I can go back when I'm ready. Obviously not for the next couple of weeks but whenever I feel I can. They will pay for taxis and on some days I'll get a lift from local colleague. My manager knows I'll be tearing my hair out stuck at home. Mr SA started sulking as he wanted me to stay off until after Christmas. I keep telling him it feels like that film Misery.

House is a tip and to make it worse Mr SA has started putting up random Xmas decorations which makes it look worse. He can only do a small amount of cleaning before his back starts hurting. I said I'd get in a cleaning company to give it a once over but he won't hear of it.
