Have had a really fed up day today. Ankle has been aching and Mr SA has been like a chocolate fire guard. He's got a bad back, sore throat and cough which entitles him to do absolutely nothing.

Meanwhile I cleaned the bathroom and bedroom with the bad leg on a stool. Also cooked him his dinner and he had the cheek to complain his potatoes were a bit cold!!!!! DD has disappeared out of the way only surfacing to put a frying pan still caked in food in the dishwasher.

I've got a wine advent calendar this year. Great so far. Opened today's offering, got my new Christmas short stories book and laid on the sofa with my feet up ready to enjoy my wine and book. Dog snuggled up to me then promptly jumped down, knocking over my wine and breaking the glass :(

Feeling a bit sorry for myself tonight. I have friends whose families would be spoiling them rotten if they were in my position. Mine are just expecting me to carry on as normal.

Mr SA is no longer sorry for running me over - apparently it was my fault!!!!

  • Shout all you bloody want!

That is really really crap. Mine wasn't any where near as bad but as I live with Mum who refuses to admit any thing is ever wrong with me I have distinct and painful memories of hobbling around on my foot doing stuff because she just expected me to carry as normal - and when I had my op in July. Bloody horrible feeling. Oh SA I wish to GOD I was nearer. This is mental. Your bloody daughter and son should be round doing every thing.

I am so so sorry. Big Love XXXXXXX
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Catching up on last couple of pages of posts. Poor you. I'd be screaming from rooftops if I were you! Very frustrating.

    Hope today is better Xx

Mr SA had an idea that I utilise his wheelchair. This means I can now manoeuvre around the kitchen more easily. I can even Hoover now. Whoopi do!

Actually I do feel more independent. It's one of those wheelchairs that you can self propel.

Done some online Christmas shopping. Gutted I won't be able to potter round the shops, I love doing this at Christmas (before it gets too busy of course). Ordered myself a snowman throw to cover my legs. Will come in handy when my friends come to take me out next week.

Mr SA told DS not to bother coming this week (!!!!). DD has gone to work. She had the cheek to inquire where her work trousers were this morning. Still in the washing basket - hello no washing machine!!!!

I haven't been dressed or outside for just over a week! Beautiful day today shame I can't go out.

Made Mr SA put some Xmas decorations up. Supervised from the wheelchair.

As long as OK with docs I will be going back to work soon. Going stir crazy at home, you can't have a decent conversation with Mr SA. Thank goodness for here and FB. Might get better looked after at work too!

Have decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and just get on with it. I'm going to make the most of being off, there's plenty I can do: catch up with reading, sort out my recipes, make plans for when I'm mobile again. Will definitely be booking another holiday as soon as I can. Aiming for end April. Good job we're not going beginning January like we sometimes do.

Anyway got to go as Mr SA is setting up ironing board - he has worked out that if he lowers it I can still iron sitting on a stool. Good of him isn't it!

Seriously, do take some time for yourself. All that stuff can wait and DD needs to cook for you and Mr SA. End of. Any problems I will deal with her!!

    Xx

PS. Will get off high horse now!! :)
