Had a better night's sleep, ankle sore but not too bad. Mr SA up twice with dog.

I think I'm meant to be doing the exercises on ankle without the cast. Found the sheet in my bag yesterday. Bit squeamish about taking it off at the moment. One of the exercises is keep a bag of ice on the ankle until you can't tolerate it anymore. I don't fancy that.

Mr SA put all his tools (screwdrivers etc) altogether in a box so everything was in one place. He doesn't know what he's done with it!!!! Can't find it anywhere. So, as I had a £10 voucher from Argos after buying the stick vacuum, I ordered him a cheap one to be delivered this morning between 7 and 10. He chose the time slot. Guess who had to get up early for 7.30 delivery? He's still fast asleep!

Going to phone theatre today to see if I'll be able to get to my panto seat on Sunday. Starting to wish I'd never booked it. The original plan was for me to take Mr SA in the wheelchair, now it's the other way round!

Should have been going to office Christmas meal today, had already paid for it. I just can't face it. Don't know if I'll get money back. Next week it's our team meal, hoping to go, as long as disabled access should be ok.

Damn ankle business is driving me up the wall. I feel so useless :( Have worked out I'll be able to bear weight on it 15 January. Seems a long time away.

TBH I would give the panto a miss.
I think it will be very hard work for you to get up into the gods. Just my thoughts.

I rang the theatre and there is no disabled access to the gods. They have exchanged the seats to wheelchair and carer seats in the stalls. Had to pay another £14 but will be better as can be wheeled straight in. Also swapped to the matinee which will be better as we can go to lunch first.

Trying to motivate Mr SA to take the dog out, it's taking some doing!

Kitchen plans came through today, will look lovely when it's done. Just waiting for quote from builder then can apply for loan.

Oh that's really good news about the panto tickets, it would have been such a shame not to have been able to go... even if it is stressful getting there etc.

My lovely mum has just had a knee replacement and although there's no wheelchair there I know the limited mobility while it heals is driving her potty! So I'm staying out of her way, and bringing her lots of cups of tea...

Didn't get much housework done due to pain but plan to do the ironing when Mr SA gets back, he sets up the iron and board for me, the board on the lowest rung so I can do it sitting down, he's very thoughtful like that!

It's like a Monty Python sketch at your place at the moment!

Glad anyway that the panto is back on the menu - do you good to get out (though perhaps get one of the theatre staff to wheel you in - you don't want to end up on the stage with the Pirate King because Mr SA pushed you too hard!):D

At least you will have a lovely kitchen to look forward to. I love goggling over plans like that!

Keep your leg and your chin up SA.

Still up and down hey??! But great news re panto nd that consultant was so clear on the earliest you can do a phased return ;)

Ask work re sick pay, if you're in public sector then it should be pretty generous.

Yay to kitchen plans!!! I am very jealous.. I reckon ours has another 2 years before we'll need to do it, the layout doesn't work for us anymore with bigger kids, 5 in house etc, but apart from warped and a broken door and kick boards it's serviceable so need to stick with it. May try and change cooker though, it's very unreliable temperature wise which can make baking an art!!
