    Hi Buffy and shika

Mr SA has had his first dose of chemo. He is ok so far doesn't feel any different. Now he is on 5 days rescue treatment. He might be able to come home for a day or two in the next week or so. He is walking with Zimmer frame now - very well actually. He says he's not as useless as everyone thinks!

Managed to miss the rain today on dog walks - very lucky as it really came down here like freak weather! Starting to get dark now but then it is 9pm so can't moan. Looked at my pedometer and have done 19734 steps today! Picked up parcel - it is box of goodies from Latest in Beauty - cost me £9.99 but is full of beauty goodies, some full sized, and I love it! Also a couple of samples of men's fragrance which Mr SA is happy with - he loves his smellies!

And yes Buffy I am sat here with nice glass of red now! Dog is running around with her ball - she has way too much energy but then she is a 1 year old Jack Russell so what do I expect!!

Glad to hear the OH is up and about after his chemo.

Jack russells don't change no matter how old they are. My mum's is 11 and still acts like a puppy lol.

Enjoy that glass of red, you've earned it with all that walking you've done

    Love and hugs

    Good morning all

Thanks shika and cat - just read that article about dogs - glad I've got a small dog now! She and my 2 cats have just had a bowl of sardines each for their breakfast so they're happy.

There will be a lot more walking today as dog has vet appointment and it's over 2 miles away. It's just for her flea and worm treatment - more expense! At least it's only once every 3 months.

Had a weak moment last night and bought a summer skirt from eBay. I'm very short on summer skirts and this is a lovely Fat Face one for only £11.20. Now I've bought this it'll no doubt rain for the whole summer!

    Back later.

Just joined top cashback and bought house insurance for £50 cheaper than renewal quote. Also got £22 cash back. Very happy. Thanks to pleaseletmebelucky's diary for this idea.

  • Yay I'm so pleased re the insurance and cashback :j:j and of course Mr SA's progress :T.

I think you more than deserve the skirt. At least you did it the MSE way and got a bargain!

Hope you have a great day today Xx

Sun Addict, now that you've joined TCB ask your vet for a prescription for the flea/worm medication and order via, via TCB, from PetDrugsOnline. It's cheaper that way. Check online to see if you can order without a prescription (I think you can for those two items) and if you can it'll be even cheaper.

However, I was rather cross with my vet on the last occasion, for charging me for 2 prescriptions when I needed to re-order Rimadyl and Vetoryl, which my lovely 19-year-old Westie has to have daily.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Have not been on MSE for a few days but have now caught up with your diary.

Great to hear such good progress for Mr SA. Here's hoping he can have a few days at home soon.

You seem more relaxed which is good. I think you are doing fantasically.
