    Thanks for that elly

Mr SA was really well tonight and much more "with it" than he's been recently. His doctor had a word tonight (which made his sister's day!!!). Tomorrow he is having Hickman Line fitted ready to start chemo Saturday morning. He is to have very high dose of chemo for 24 hours then rescue treatment followed by more very high dose chemo. It has to be extra high dose as this is the only way chemo can get into brain as the brain has filters which prevent low dose chemo entering it. He has Central Nervous System Lymphoma. After second dose of chemo provided he is physically capable he might be able to come home for a couple of days. Doctor seemed very positive. Even talking about eventual return to work. There is specialist lymphoma nurse who can help with benefit claims so she might be worth having a word with.

Have come home feeling a lot better.

Thank you all - I'm touched by your replies :A

Today I've paid another £10 off Barclaycard for my extra payment and it now stands at £1495. £6.26 has gone into my virtual sealed pot so now have £172.82 in this. Surprising how all these little bits add up and how good they make you feel :D

Mr SA has been texting me today as he is nil by mouth until this afternoon when they fit Hickman Line and he is starving!! He is also having camera down his throat to look at vocal chords to make sure they're not damaged due to ventillator and/or trachy. His voice is still only just audible at the moment.

    Will be back later.

    Thank you shika

When I got to hospital tonight Mr SA wasn't there he was having the Hickman Line fitted. I waited for over an hour before they brought him back. He is ok although he said having it put in was sore. Nothing else to report really.

DS had sorted out pond pump for me so one less thing on my to do list. Have to pick up parcel from local depot a couple of miles away tomorrow so will take dog with me and this can be one of her walks - multi tasking! Sunday she has to go to vets for flea and worm treatment so will walk her there as well (2.5 miles each way). Good job I like walking!
