I had a Tesco delivery booked for 1pm today. I told Mr SA several times plus I wrote it in big letters on his whiteboard. So I got a phone call from Tesco at ten past one asking why no one was coming to the door. I rang Mr SA and he was out with his carer, they had "lost track of time". The delivery driver said he'd wait 10 minutes but they weren't back so he had to go. Fortunately the driver came back at 4 but I was fuming with both Mr SA and the carer. It just makes me angry when I'm at work all day and I can't even get a simple thing like this done. I don't ask him to do much for me, sometimes I get so fed up of having to do everything myself.

    Sorry for the rant :(

The carer really should take more note of the time.
    Grrrr on your behalf.

Thanks for your support ladies :) it was very annoying to say the least. Mr SA has an excuse (sort of) but his carer doesn't.

Anyway that aside I've had two lovely Christmas meals out with work - today and yesterday - what a party animal I am :) was tempted to go for drinks after with them but I'm afraid drinks and looking after Mr SA don't mix. Felt like a bit of a party pooper to be honest. I break up tomorrow for a week so looking forward to that. I'm more than ready for a break. Have spent way too much money on Christmas and still not finished food wise. Present wise I only have to get Mr SA something. Really must cut back in the new year. I start off being good then lose the plot nearer the time - although I know I'm not alone in this area.

This weekend it's DS's 30th and I told him we'd treat him and GF to lunch out so more expense. Good job it's payday on Tuesday.

  • I know what you mean about drinking not mixing with being 'on duty'. Shame you missed out though.

Hope you have a lovely meal with DS et al Xx

Lucky at least I wasn't amongst the hungover ones the next day :) # smug.

Finally finished the present shopping, need a serious wrapping session tomorrow. Fell in lucky yesterday in Debenhams, bought Mr SA some a spray, spent £50 got a £5 voucher plus £10 on my Beauty card. Didn't know they were doing this so nice surprise. Then got email from Body Shop £15 off if you spend £30 so ordered Mr SA two sprays he loves for £15. So he's well stocked up with sprays and he'll be happy Christmas Day.

DS's 30th today, we took him, his GF and GD out for lunch to our local. Can't believe my "little boy" is 30!!!!! Mr SA started questioning landlady about NY Eve and the upshot is we are now booked in for a meal. £25 each for 3 courses and there's a band on. It's years since we've been out for New Year so looking forward to it. I usually fall asleep on the sofa and miss midnight. Will give me another chance to wear the dress I bought for the work do (was originally £49 from M&Co reduced to £25 and then 25% off).

I broke up from work yesterday until 29 December so a nice week off. However, dentist on Monday and having something done, not sure exactly what but he found slight decay on a tooth so suspect might be root canal :( Tuesday at hairdressers for colour followed by lunch with friend over from Oz, might get Xmas Eve "off" if I'm lucky, Xmas Day DS, GF and GD are coming for buffet plus SIL and BIL, Boxing Day hopefully feet up day (please!), weekend then back to work for 3 days :(. So maybe not the relaxing week I'd hoped for.

Hope everyone else has got Xmas sorted.
