Hello all
Not posted for a few days, time has just run away with me as usual. Mr SA has been a bit off - being sick and upset tummy. He seems a lot better now thankfully. I've been really busy at work and things have been ok on that front.
I'm now under £1k debt wisepaid £481 off today. Not the debt free I wanted to be by Christmas but getting there. The final total of my VSP is £344.52. This will be "opened" tomorrow and used for Christmas. I've already done some Christmas shopping so not too much to get now.
SIL had a mammogram which showed a lump but thankfully the biopsy showed it's just a cyst. She didn't tell us until she had been cleared as she didn't want to worry us. All I can say is phew!
Off to catch up with the other diaries now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Forgot to add I also lost another 1lb in weight.
I've had a pottering about at home day today. DS brought GD round for a cuddle and she's growing up so fast, noticing everything and has a mind of her own already.
Going into work slightly later tomorrow as want to do a Primark swoop when it opens at 8. Just stuff like socks and Mr SA wants a Christmas jumper but it's a nightmare in there at any other time. Got a meal out with retired friends on Tuesday and a trip to Stratford on Avon with Mr SA on Friday so should be a nice week ahead. Had a mini panic as have 4 Christmas meals to go to and not a thing to wear. Have ordered a dress and black trousers from M&Co (25% off) and will mix and match with old stuff to get by.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Did my Primark swoop before work plus picked up Xmas present from Debenhams that DD is buying for Mr SA and me - Costa gift set but didn't realise the price - a scary £46!!! She has just got home from work so wait until she sees the receipt, she thinks it's only £28 - oh dear. Have obviously picked up the wrong one. Still it's between us both so she needn't start getting tight
M&Co stuff has arrived, trousers are fab, dress would've been better in next size up really as a bit snug around the bust area but will be ok as long as I don't wave my arms about too much!
Looking forward to afternoon off work tomorrow for the first Christmas meal of the season with retired friendsI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Hello folks!
Yet another week has sped by, all my good intentions of posting every day got lost in the whirlwind of my far too busy life.
To recap:
Monday Mr SA was supposed to have his first counselling session but he decided he didn't want to go ahead and switched his phone off. I can't force him to do it, I tried to coax him but he is a very private person and he's not comfortable with it. So that's that.
Tuesday I had a lovely lunch with my retired friends and like you Buffy I am so jealous. They have this strange thing called time to do stuff. Obviously I don't envy them being a lot older than me but they are having a whale of a time (which I don't begrudge for one second) while I'm stuck at work.
Wednesday and Thursday flew by.
Friday we went on the work trip to Stratford on Avon. It was a lovely day apart from the fact that the organiser had got the wrong day for the Xmas market (it was the day before!). Mr SA and I used to go there a lot for the weekend before he got ill and it brought some lovely memories back. It was very tiring for him though - me too if I'm honest. We set off at 10.30 and didn't get home until 9.30. Stratford's only 1.5 hours away from here so we had 6 hours to kill there. Mr SA almost fell several times and he embarrassed me at one point when he asked a passer by where the nearest Wetherspoons was when we weren't even looking for it! The town centre was amazingly quiet for a Friday leading up to Xmas and if we could've got about a bit better it would've been a great opportunity to do some serious shopping but instead we spent a lot of time (and money!) in coffee shops and pubs so Mr SA could have a rest. So we spent a lot of money with nothing to show for it really - but we did have a lovely day so no regrets.
This weekend we have stayed in as Mr SA is still recovering from Friday. He hasn't even been out with me to the local shops or to walk the dog.
Xmas wise all the decorations are up, we bought a real tree from Homebase this year which we had delivered and it's lovely. Only got to get a couple more presents now so almost done. No idea what we're doing Xmas Day, no invites yet, I'll be happy with a lunchtime drink in the local pub and my feet up for the rest of the day to be honest.
Been spending way too much just lately so need to rein it in drastically now. I've been taking too much advantage of all the deals on at the moment and need to draw a line under it now.
Work has been fine just lately so no complaints on that front, long may it continue.
Coming up next week is another lunch with a different set of friends (only two of them retired) and a work buffet thing that we have every year.
Hope everyone else is having a fab weekendI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Glad you had a nice day on Friday but I bet the organiser feels a right plonker to have gotten the market date wrong!!
Disappointed on your behalf about the counsellor, such a shame as Mr SA might have really benefited from it. Can't be helped though.
 to asking passers-by about the pub!!
Hope this week is a good one for you XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
