Looking for the silver lining

Hello all
This week has flown by and I can't believe it's Sunday again. Work has been manic all week. I went for allergy testing last Monday but had been referred to food allergy testing rather than the chemical allergy testing I wanted - but at least I now know I'm not allergic to nuts, fish, pollen, pet fu or mould. The consultant has asked GP to send me to dermatology (which is where I thought I was going!). At the moment my eczema is bad on my chest and under my arms - really sore. I went to hairdressers yesterday and she noticed my fringe is a lot thinner where it was itchy round my hairline, not happy about thatI feel quite stressed at the moment as manager at work is still watching me all the time as if I can't be trusted. She's keeping tabs on my hours and basically whether I'm doing anything that could be remotely described as enjoyable. I also have to fill in a task sheet showing everything I do and how long it takes, which I'm too busy to fill in properly. I've never had to do anything like this before in all the years I've worked here. I'm going to give it until Spring and if things haven't settled down by then I'll be looking for a new job.
Mr SA's mobility seems to have got worse. His carer has said his walking is a lot worse and he's getting out of breath very quickly. I have to take him back to doctors tomorrow for a depression review, he's been on the increased anti depressants dose for 2 weeks now.
Some good news in that I've lost 2lbs this weekI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Forgot to add paid another £20 off debt so now down to £1480. Shame that I couldn't fulfil my debt free by end of November challenge. Current aim is pay off by end of 0% but as that will need to be done by end January to be clear by mid February it's a big ask, particularly with Christmas coming up. However there are no holidays planned until Mr SA's 50th in April so not impossible plus 2 council tax free months in the New Year - mmm don't give up yet SA!
VSP now holds £324.14.
Keep chipping away.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sorry to hear you are stressed but it's perfectly understandable. You have so much going on anyway without killjoys and manic days at work.
I hope all goes well with the GP tomorrow and you get a chance to mention Mr SA's mobility also.
Don't worry about missing your November debt free date, you've still done so well. I'm also thinking I might have to put my date back a bit too so we can still live a little. Like today we went bowling as a family and being able to do that means just as much to me as being able to be debt free. Doing both is optimum but it might push things back a couple of months.

Well done on managing to mislay some lbs, Sun.A, and continuing to nibble away at the debts. :T
Hope GP appointment goes well today - thinking of you and MrSA..0 -
Well Mr SA's appointment with GP has resulted in him being referred for counselling. He scored high on the depression questionnaire. She also wants him to go to the gym to build up his muscles and boost his confidence. He's so scared of falling that he won't go out on his own now. I rang the local leisure centre but they want him to sign up for 9 months and there was no mention of free trial or whether his carer would get in for free. There's no way he can commit to 9 months in his condition. I've emailed the county council to see if they know anything as they are the ones paying for the carer. He rang the counselling service today and he's got to fill in a form and then his first session is 1 December. One funny thing at the doctors was when Mr SA mentioned cycling and the horrified expression on the doctor's face said it all!
Work has been ok today, I've been super busy which is what I like and I've spoken to the new manager about stress and she appears to have taken this on board, although to be honest I don't trust her as far as I can throw her. I'm just going to go to work, keep busy and try and avoid her if I can.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Counselling sounds like an excellent idea, hope it helps. Fingers crossed you get the gym sorted for Mr SA too XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Thanks ladies
Mr SA has had two falls today, luckily when the carer was there. He has had paperwork from counselling service today and is not keen. Trying to persuade him to give it a go at least. He hasn't lost his stubborn streak that's for sure.
Can't believe it's Wednesday already. Time flies when you're having fun ha ha. Mr M delivery tonight just over £60. Only a week until payday - need to pay £480 off to stay on track.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
