:T Hooray :T that Mr SA is still in remission.
that you're still sore and scratchy. For the first time ever I had sinus problems this year doctor said hay fever.... Hopefully a solution found today, better than mine... Stick you head over steaming bowl of water !
Love everyone's words and had to nod in agreement I did get into debt when I lost my Mum, older and wiser now, and with :money: in my life finding better ways to make the most.
Hope a happy lunch is planned xAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Please say hello my new diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6578460/still-dancing-to-blow-the-debt-clouds-away0 -
Doctor has signed me off work for another 10 days. Quite shocked at this but she says it will take another 10 days to clear up. Got some heavy duty steroid cream now and some hydrocortisone for around my eyes. Another £16.10! Can't believe that on my sick note (or fit note as they're now called apparently) the doctor has just put "rash". I can't see work taking "rash" seriously, it sounds a bit wishy washy to me.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Take the 'fit note' into work in person; show whoever is in authority to receive it, exactly what "rash" entails..
Very, very glad to hear MrSA got the hoped-for result yesterday! :T0 -
Thanks Robin, it was a big relief to say the least.
Mr SA has been fiddling with my iPad while I've been out and has broken my stylus, he's also been spying on my Facebook page. I was hoping the carer would take him out for a bit but they've just been pottering in the garden.
Forgot to add yesterday consultant said Mr SA will never be discharged because of brain lymphoma often coming back after a few years. From information I've seen about this type the median survival rate is 48 months. But then medicine is advancing all the time and his speciality is defying the odds! Doubt he'll see his pension though but not thinking that far ahead. He's 49 now. The longer he can stay in remission the better so we'll just take it step by step.
If my "rash" has cleared up significantly by Monday I'll go back to work next week. I'm pinning my hopes on the steroid cream.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Catching up with other diaries in between the scratching and it's struck me how you would assume that people keep these diaries to track getting out of debt but in reality for a lot of us there is a story attached to it. I certainly didn't think my diary was going to turn out to be so dramatic when I started it last year.
Mr SA is having a sleep so enjoying a quiet few moments. He had blood tests yesterday for thyroid and hormones as he mentioned his tiredness at the clinic. All he's done today is supervise the carer removing a tree branch and he's wiped out. He loves being part of work things like this, things involving tools and ladders, even if he can't help much. If he gets to the stage where he could go to work again, although roofing is out of the equation, he'd love a job in a tool hire shop or similar. He's talking about going to buy a saw tomorrow, which is a bit scary, but he loves pottering around B&Q with the carer and at least I'll get a break.
Currently trying to hatch a plan to pay off the next £300 to clear Barclaycard by payday. DD's board can go towards it, there will have to be budgets shaved and I may have to resort to eBay. I've got a few bits that can be eBayed and tons of unplayed CDs/DVDs that need to go to somewhere like Music Magpie.
I also have a magazine mountain. Quite scary really the amount of unread ones I've got. Maybe if I actually spent some time reading them instead of on here I might get somewhere. Most of them are on subscription paid for in Clubcard vouchers but I still buy some as well, think I have an addiction to them. Another challenge in the making methinks.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Not sure how long will need treatment for Beanie but will def look into it just in case it would work out cheaper. Thanks for that
Am currently covered in thin layer of steroid cream with top layer of emulsifying ointment aka pure grease - lovely!

Just looked at the pre-payment certificate and if I'd known how much I was going to spend over the last few days I would've got one! Need to ask doctor if the meds are ongoing or just now and again. Don't spend this much on face creams! Better be worth it. Actually if they relieve this soreness/itching then they're worth every penny. Driving me mad at the moment.
Mr SA is talking about holidays/coffee/tools basically anything to do with spending money!!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
