Happy Easter SA!
Pleased you've finished your decorating - the fun stuff will be to come - accessorising
Not long to your holiday now, you must be so excited!
It is strange about Mr SA's facial expressions. I wonder if that will be a temporary thing?
Hope you have a great Easter Monday!0 -
Hi SA, not sure if it's quite the same but I quite often ask Mr Lucky if he's ok because his face says he is <angry/hurt/pained/scared/depressed/manically happy> etc and he says no, he's fine, feeling normal. It's like his brain is doing something all on it's own!
Well done on the decorating! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

count down is on for your holiday.. pack travel and relax you have so earn t the break x0 -
Thanks all
We've had a right ordeal today decorating wise. The wallpaper joins look awful and despite slapping loads of paste on they are curling up. The paper is really thick so don't know if this is why. Feel like ripping it all off! We couldn't get the picture above the fireplace back up - the pins wouldn't go in the wall and we broke the curtain pole so it is held up on a wing and a prayer! Talk about bodgit and scarper! It looks ok by candlelight tonight though! I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. At least it looks cleaner and brighter. Just need a few cushions to match curtains now.
Had a look through holiday things and there are just a few bits to get and my case is more or less packed. Mr SA hasn't been too good today I think maybe the decorating has wiped him out. He's very subdued. However he has now realised there is no way he could go back to work for some time yet. We are so ready for this holiday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Morning SA, I hope you have a good holiday and actually relax! You are always so busy
I am useless at wallpapering so feel your pain on that one. I have only done it a handful of times but bodged it every single time
I'm much better with a paint brush so usually stick to that now

Brilliant thanks Mint! Just looked at this and I have been guilty of rolling the seams too hard so maybe this is what's happened.
Some good news for once today - Mr SA has been awarded the enhanced rate of PIP for both parts backdated to January 2nd. This news has cheered him up on the one hand but upset him on the other as it's made him feel confirmed disabled and the letter mentioned his mental impairment which he gets upset about.
We went in town today and I bought him loads of holiday stuff from Primark and I was worrying about the cost mounting up totally unaware of the letter waiting at home! I must admit I'm surprised he was awarded enhanced rate I wasn't convinced he would get anything. I thought they would assess him but looking at the report some of the information hasn't come from us and he says it's stuff he told in confidence to the neuro rehab people. He says he's been hiding some things from me so as not to worry me but I'm a mother and not daft and I've noticed he struggles to get to the toilet on time and hides the evidence if this is what he means.
Today his disability hit home when I had to accompany him in the men's changing rooms as he was struggling and the attendant showed us to the disabled bay without batting an eyelid. He has also been a pain saying someone has stolen his loose change and looking all over for it. I know he's spent it but he won't have it. Then he said when he went into hospital last April he had some money in his wallet and it's gone - in reality it was £20 and he gave it me for a taxi at 1am. So you can see his mind's not been great today and I was about ready to throttle him at one point!
So at least that's another thing sorted out. Now it's just the bus pass and the nPower final bill.
Tomorrow's plan is hairdressers in the morning then packing suitcases in the afternoon. I will have to seriously supervise Mr SA's packing!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Awesome news about the PIP :j:j:j. Well done!!
What you wrote about Mr SA's feelings about that is exactly like Mr Lucky. I just keep telling him it's his way of providing for his family now.
We've also had a Primarni trip today for summery clothes for Mr Lucky. Parallel lives or what?!?! :rotfl:. XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
