Where I am with stuff:
Have finally heard from PIP apologising for delay but they now have all the information they need and will be in touch soon with decision.
Utilities - gave meter reading to Scottish Power and they will negotiate with nPower - who are still clinging on to my £600 credit. Hopefully (surely not!!) I don't owe anything.
Not heard a thing from bus pass people so still don't have a pass with companion. Crazy when he's not allowed out alone.
Broke up from work today until 7 May - woo hoo!!!!
Painting woodwork tomorrow then wallpapering Sat and Sun. So exciting times ahead (not). Paid off spending card today so that's clear. However been putting a few bits and bobs on it since it rolled over but will sort out after holiday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Hello all - hope you're having a nice Easter so far
Got the painting done yesterday and made a good start on the wallpapering today. Mr SA not much help as you can imagine but he's done a bit. He was so frustrated about not being able to help much but he can't get up if he gets on floor to paint skirting board and he can't climb stepladder to do coving so all he could do was the dado rail and part of door. Then he slept for ages afterwards. And he thinks he'll be able to go back to work soon!!!!! It's the first time I've wallpapered on my own although he supervised. I don't think I've bodged it too much! We'll see if it's still on the wall in the morning!
Yesterday afternoon I spent some more of my carer's allowance on a pre holiday shellac on fingers and toes. I think that should count as pampering! At least I won't have to worry about chipped nail varnish. I used to have gel on my nails regularly when Mr SA was working. I stopped as I couldn't justify spending £20 every 3 weeks. Maybe I could sneak it into the budget again as they look so lovely.
Tomorrow I should get decorating finished leaving Monday free to chill out, Tuesday Mr SA wants to go into town and Wednesday I'm at the hairdressers and then packing my suitcase. DD has taken the week off work to look after dog so no kennels expense this time.
Just got to prepare evening meal, clean up, iron, get Mr SA in the shower, have a bath and then after dinner sit with my feet up with a large glass of wine and watch BGT - and probably fall asleep!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Thank you ladies!
We've finished the decorating! Woo hoo! Looks ok-ish. Wallpaper not great quite thick and seams are a bit meh! Mr SA been fairly helpful but has fallen over three times! After a day and a half wallpapering with rickety step ladders Mr SA produced a set of almost brand new nice and stable step ladders from the shed. Bless him! He forgot we had them!!!!! Hoping once paper has dried it will look better. Now all we have to do is put the pictures back up and hang the new curtains. That is tomorrow's job. We need a few new cushions to go with curtains so will have a look on Tuesday in town but no rush.
Tomorrow's plan is, as I said, putting up pictures and curtains, having a look through holiday stuff to see if we need anything and relaxing.
One thing I have noticed today (and recently really) about Mr SA is that his facial expressions are different to how they were before. Weird isn't it?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
