Thanks all
I've been struggling to find time to come on here and catch up with everyone. Work is manic and now back to being packed in like sardines again so finding it hard to get on here at work due to too many people being able to see computer screen. Then at home Mr SA hangs over me every time I go on computer. Talk about no privacy. Anyway he's gone to bed early so snatching a few moments in the kitchen on my own.
Mr SA's carer has been off sick all week with chest infection so he's been on his own. I think he's a bit bored and he has missed a bit of company in the day - so much for him thinking he'd be ok without a carer.
Going to book holiday this weekend. Interest has gone in ISA - all £60 of it but better than nothing! Still unsure whether to go for villa or apartment. To be honest villa is working out cheaper but if Mr SA is tired and sleeping a lot it'll be a bit lonely for me. If we had apartment overlooking resort or beach at least I could sit on balcony with a drink people watching. But I realise I'm lucky to even be going anywhere after last year so maybe I should just go for villa and relax with a book in the sun!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Happy Friday!
Holiday money now transferred from ISA to current account ready for booking holiday this weekend. Just paid another £10 off debt so this is now £2400. And £4.88 has gone in VSP, making it £120.42.
Main plan for this weekend besides booking the holiday is stripping the wallpaper off the living room walls (exciting eh!) and spending as little as possible. So far doing well with my cheap week but I often fail at the weekend but determined not to this time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Booked it!!!! We're off to Lanzarote 24 April. Got a 3 bed detached villa with private pool for £350 each including flights from Villa Plus. Short walk to town. And for the first time ever I've paid for it up front and not bunged it on the card and worried about cost later. Also within budget allocated - another first. Just got to get insurance now.:)
Mr SA cheesed me off this afternoon - he washed his trainers with my work jumpers and trousers and has ruined a new jumper and trousers. Hole in jumper and trousers gone bobbly. Strangely the older trousers are fine. Caused about £50+ damagesaid he was trying to help.

We'll be away for his birthday. Last year he spent it in neuro ward. Year before it was in Hunstanton (or Sunny Hunny as it's known!!!!) pouring with rain! Surely this time it's third time lucky!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
