And for the first time ever I've paid for it up front and not bunged it on the card and worried about cost later. Also within budget allocated - another first. Just got to get insurance now.:)
:j :T :j Great news, Sun.A!
As it's a three bedroomed villa, who are you going to invite to go with you? :cool2:Sun_Addict wrote: »Mr SA cheesed me off this afternoon - he washed his trainers with my work jumpers and trousers and has ruined a new jumper and trousers.
..Reminds me of times at the old house which was usually full of kids and random guests. I resorted to printed A4 notes: "This is Robin's wash-machine. Please ASK BEFORE using!" "ONLY-
goes in Compost Bucket, PLEASE!" "Do NOT use metal implements in non-stick pans!" Etc., etc.
Can't say it was popular, but I got sooo hacked off with people destroying things or making more work for me. None of 'em had MrSA's problems with mentation - but the system might work for him too?

Thanks all ! Robin I see you've got your sunglasses on! I've learnt my lesson re washing machine - I will never leave anything in it again. I've told Mr SA to leave the washing to me but it's in one ear and out of the other.
We (ok mainly I) have managed to strip the living room this weekend. Mr SA has been fairly helpful - he held the steamer to the wall while I did the donkey work - but it's done!
Only 4 more work get ups - woo hoo! However got to make 3 hours flexi as I've booked 2 of my days off as flexi and 3 hours short at the moment. Looks like a few 7am starts are on the horizon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Just bought the travel insurance through Money Supermarket - Medisafe. Have spoken to an advisor and as long as Mr SA's condition has been declared and the doctor says he's ok to fly then he's covered. Cost £43 for the gold cover for the two of us for a week. Could've got it for £31 but decided to go up a notch for the sake of just over £10.
Had a bad night's sleep last night courtesy of cat bringing in a mouse again. Bedlam downstairs! Dog and cat chasing it all over. Yawn!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Wow S A thats a fantastic insurance price
Have a lovely break and relax by the pool So looking forward to hearing about your holiday antics.
Count down to packing suitcases and finding passport and holiday spends!

Yes I'm pleased with the price too. It just goes to show you have to shop around and find the right cover for the right price.
We have wifi in the villa so I'll be able to keep you posted as to how we're getting on.
Just got to get euros now and see if we need any bits and bobs. Shouldn't need much clothes-wise as have loads of holiday clothes from last year hardly worn. However, Sainsburys TU have got 25% off at the moment so might have a little look. Have had my eye on some of their brightly coloured tshirts. Need to make a list!
I suddenly seem to have loads to buy and do in the next few days. Hoping to decorate over the Easter weekend but still not got paint, wallpaper or new curtains! Curtains can wait but I want to take advantage of having some time off work to do the decorating.
Mr SA has another brain scan today. Results are on 6 May. He's dreading it but I've told him to just close his eyes and imagine he's on that sun lounger (easier said than done when it's not me laying there I know!). Fingers crossed!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
hi SA
just a little thought did you declare scan and results not due to 6may
we had to declare all appointments due, tests ,waiting lists etc.,
best to let insurance no -
dont forget your suncream! envy wishes to your break.
Can I come and lodge in spare room x0 -
They said as long as doctor said he was fit to fly then that's all. If we made a claim they would confirm this with doctor. He is officially in remission at the date of the holiday and that's all they were interested in. I explained the situation and they are happy. He's not due any more treatment.
Got £21.21 cash back from Top Cashback today so added this to the £3.00 oddment from Mr SA's ESA which went in today, total £24.21, £20 went to debt and £4.21 to VSP. So total debt is now £2380 and VSP is now £124.63. Think that will be the last of the payments until payday unless some money magics it's way into my account!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
