Thanks everyone
Flu jab was ok arm not aching today as predicted by some.
Losing the beer battle again with Mr SA as he seems to have a secret stash. When I left for work there were only 2 cans in the fridge but last night there were at least 4 empties. Trying to chip away at him but falling on deaf ears. Sat with glass of water myself and said I don't drink every night. Funny how his brain is all there beer wise - he's very crafty. I think he's spending the money I give him for a coffee when his carer takes him out. Any suggestions on how I deal with this are very welcome.
Budget wise to try to cut down spending when shopping I'm not buying unless we need it either that day or the next unless there's a fantastic bargain that can't be passed up on. I really need to sit down and create a proper meal plan and shop around that.
Exercise and diet wise - now walking to and from work (about 3 miles each way) and planning on doing some toning exercises most days too. Weighed myself on Saturday and I'd only lost half a pound but better than nothing.
Really need to do some decluttering and this week's aims are the bedroom and the dining room cupboard.
Will be back later after Mr SA's scan.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hope scan went well.

Scan went well - results should be back next week when Mr SA should be seeing his consultant. We had a nice day apart from the scan bit - went into town first for a coffee, then to hospital, then to old ward to see the nurses - they were over the moon to see him again and they said they miss him and talk about him a lot, so that was nice, then we went to local pub for lunch. Pub were doing buy one get one free on lunches so bargain!
Mr SA very tired today after big day yesterday. This is what he's like. If he does something one day the next he has to rest all day.
Beanie - I would like to lose half a stone to get back to my WW goal weight. Lost about 10lbs when Mr SA was first ill through stress but as things got better and Christmas arrived I put it back on. So back to square one - no rush though as I'm the right weight for my height just a bit more than I like to be to feel comfortable in my own skin. I have to be really careful as I am small boned and have to go for the lightest part of ideal weight for height. Also my mum's side of the family have a tendency to be obese but fortunately as I exercise and watch what I eat I haven't followed the family tradition. However, you won't see me following any fad diets or starving myself no chance of that I get too hungry and when I get hungry I'm very grumpy!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Mr SA not too good last night he said he didn't feel well then he had a headache. Told him to mention it to GP at his appointment tomorrow if he's still worried. Can't blame him for worrying about headaches after all that's happened. Just hope it's nothing.
Physio came to see him yesterday and brought him a walking stick to use for balance so he doesn't have to rely on the wheelchair so much. Red Cross came today to pick up equipment we aren't using; it was only getting in the way and if someone else needs it it's a shame to hang on to it. Tomorrow he has his flu jab. It's all happening at the moment!
Walked to and from work again yesterday. Really enjoy it as it gives me time to think. I just stick my music on and off I go.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Fingers crossed the headache is nothing to worry about.

Thanks ladies.
Just looked at credit card statement (the spending one). Even though I paid off some last week I've still got a balance of £450 to pay off at the end of the month. Looking at the statement it's all gone on "bits and bobs" - nothing much over £20, so it just shows how all the little spends can add up it's a real eye opener. As this must be paid off on payday there won't be a lot going off the debt this month. At one time I would've probably balance transferred the £450 so at least I'm progressing in that area. Still can't believe I spent so much in one month! Thankfully nothing else has gone one it since as now back to cash.
So nothing to put in VSP this week and nothing going towards debt. Concentrating on my "mini debt" at the moment!
This weekend, Mr SA permitting, I've got these exciting tasks ahead of me:
1. Clear out dining room cupboard which is getting cluttered up yet again
2. Sort out bedroom as Mr SA's stuff is all over the place, he is so untidy!
3. Fill in PIP claim form, blue badge form and disabled bus pass form
If I can achieve all that I'll be happy!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
