Hello Sun.A, :hello:
You're doing the right thing by staying away from hospital until you're sure the bugs have gone.
Bet you have enjoyed the slightly more relaxed evenings after work, and good to read SIL has changed her tune recently.
Sounds like MrSA is making real progress; hope the consultant has managed to wangle him a place in a rehab unit (keeping fingers crossed).
Might be worth a threat to read meters before heading off to work next week when DD is home alone? ..Let's hope she took notice of your words.0 -
Feeling much better today so Mr SA got his visit. There is to be a meeting next week involving me (at last!!) to decide his future. Apparently it's all down to funding - who is going to fund the next step? To be honest as long as he's ok with stairs then he'll be fine at home with possibly some sort of alarm if he falls. He has said himself he would also like to know what stage his illness is at - has it been stabilised, is there more treatment and what is the outlook for him?
Finance wise this week I've paid another £10 off debt and £3.00 has gone to VSP. Like everything else - one step at a time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hi SA,
I hope you're feeling better and hope the session to decide the next steps for Mr SA goes well.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your roast.

Ooh yes Sun.A, hope you and MrSA are having a wonderful day together.0 -
Thank you all!
Mr SA and I have had a lovely day. He enjoyed his roast beef and ate nearly a whole joint to himself - with a little help from the dog! He even managed to go up and down stairs by himself and I really think he's ready to come home now. The meeting next week involving me is on Thursday and I will try to persuade them he is ready to come home. He will need an alarm in case he falls and maybe someone to just look in on him halfway through the day but he won't need a carer. He's still confused at times and imagines he seen things eg he thought he saw a kitten walking with the cat! He's seeing his consultant tomorrow and he says he is going to ask him what his prognosis is as he wants to know where he stands. He says if he is on limited time he wants to know as there are things he wants to do. Don't know what these "things" are but I'm hoping it doesn't involve hot air balloons or bungee jumping!
We didn't go anywhere today - just stayed in and watched TV and relaxed. And it was so lovely not to hospital visit again!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I'd love more than anything for him to come home, but would he be safe on his own if he is confused at times?x x x0
