Still not sure about granny situation - does this mean I'm too old to still like trance/dance music? Mr SA says he just hopes he's still around to see the end product
Definitely allowed to take Mr SA out for the day tomorrow. All he's bothered about is seeing the dog again and going to pub for burger and fries!!! And he says a proper beer not a Carling!!! Makes it sound like they bring him Carling in hospital!
Had hair highlighted and cut today at local salon. Looks a lot better. Pay £49 for everything which I suppose is reasonable compared to town prices. As long as I can afford to I will get colour done professionally. I'm a bit nervous about doing it myself but if I have to I will.
Watching X Factor but will be honest and say I'm not keen on Big Band Night. Too old fashioned even by my old croney soon to be granny standards! Let them sing to their own style!!!
I see the Christmas adverts have started with a vengeance. Not really thought about Christmas yet this year due to what's happened. Usually I'm well on the case by now. Still taking one day at a time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hi SA, I became a nanny last month and its fantastic,it wasn't planned but I wouldn't swop her for the world, she's my little angel.
Hope tomorrow goes great for you and Mr SA.
Been to the shops and saw all the xmas stuff, years ago I would have been spending stupidly on stuff but now I just look. I love xmas but have realised you don't have to go mad spending at xmas to have a good time. My Tesco vouchers have come today, I save them in the xmas club and have £135 to spend. Will save them till xmas week.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -

Hope you and MrSA are enjoying today!
Congrats on impending Granny-hood; no, you definitely won't have to change the music you enjoy listening/dancing to!0 -
Hope you are having a lovely day.
Some of my friends became Grandma's in their 40's, one of whom has pink hair, tattoos and goes to rock nights. No you don't have to change!!!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hope you've both had a lovely day, and you aren't exhausted.
Granny-hood is marvellous. It's a reward for surviving parenthood! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Thanks to all of you and Lucky I love the sound of your pink haired friend who is a granny!
Mr SA and I have had a lovely day although it flew by. He got his burger and fries plus a pint of real ale not Carling! He fell over a couple of times though and struggled to get back up. We had to phone BIL to come and help. It's made him realise he's not ready to come home yet, he admits he needs more physio. SIL took him back to hospital so I didn't have to go and it was lovely to get another night off.
Was in the process of making a tuna pasta bake tonight, cooked the pasta, put a tin of tuna in a dish ready to add pasta etc to, turned my back for a second and "the old guy" (as I call my 17 year old Tom cat) had eaten it!!! Bless him!
Got British Gas coming out tomorrow morning to fix bathroom light to complete the trio of broken items sorted. So glad I've got the Homecare cover.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Glad you had a nice day and sorry to hear about Mr SA's tumbles, however it sounds like they were worthwhile if they have convinced him he needs more physio. Also glad to hear SIL is pulling her weight a bit more.
Naughty puddy tat eating the tuna though!! Did you have tinned tomatoes or anything to make it into a quick arribiata or something? XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hi SA
So pleased to hear about Mr SA coming home for a few hours. That's brilliant :j :j
Boo to WM and repairs. As least you seem to be able to still keep on top of the debt despite the setbacks which is a real testament to how well you're doing

I made my mum a nanny at 39
she wasn't happy haha. As soon as ds1 was born though she was smitten
I made my Granny a Great Granny at 61 too because of DS1 and I remember the look on her face, hehe, again though she loved children so was happy enough when baby was placed in her arms for a cuddle
I hope Mr SA can get out again soon it must really boost his morale being able to 'escape' for a few hoursnot good that he had the falls though
hopefully he will start feeling stronger very soon xxx
