Morning All,
Did the weigh in this morning, and after last weeks maintain I have lost another 1lb this week.
Goodness knows how as I was quite lax this week. I'm assuming it must be the momentum of previous weeks carrying me forward!
Well done to all the losers this week, particularly Victory (very brave getting a swim suit... don't think I'm ready for that yet!:o ), Mr Suggsy Pierre and of course Petrichor for hitting target...
You guys rock!!
I can only hope to be able to offer as sound advice as you guys.OH OD - £100.00/£100.00 Joint OD - £100.00/£100.00StepChange: £10,057.670 -
Victory - so close, only 1lb to go - you aren't going to set another new target after this are you? You have done fabulously :T
My H won't let me:p I wanted to go for another 7 lb as the tummy is a problem area for me but I have to agree with him that the extra 7 lb I took off has made it a whole lot better and now another 7 lb would make it even greater but I would look too skinny, I guess I AM fine as I am and will have to learn to live with it, I am following the Paul Potts school of life from Britain's got talent....if he can get over his lack of self confidence and sing opera infront of millions, I can get over my droopy stomach:rotfl: :rotfl: anyway the swimsuit is extra tummy supported:rotfl: :rotfl: do you know the sad thing about it if truth be told I could maybe get away with a bikini or a tankini but no, after 4 stone loss still choosing to hide, when will I ever learn me is me and to get on with it?;)
I so love that ad for Boots 7 stages of gorgeousness for the beach where she is about to take her dress off to reveal her bikini underneath and a hugely crowded beach stop to watch her!! That is what I feel like, I am sure on one hand no one could give a damn and on the other hand when you get to the beach and strip off you feel as if everyone is doing like in the ad!! 24 days to go to the big reveal,(my spanish friend just emailed to say it was 34 degrees there yesterday!!!) what keeps me going is the awful photos of last year, this year is def an improvement!!!!0 -
I would like to see it 'as a graph' and use it as an aid to help me maintain when I get there (still to be decided), so perhaps either of you two could explain how you did the graphs please? I don't have excel but I think DD has but any help would be great. ...
It might be hard for me to explain how to draw it in excel but if you PM all you weights and the dates etc then I will put it on a graph and send it back to you and then your DD can show open it for you excel.0 -
This week's weigh-in result....well, I cheated a little. I got on the scales and wasn't too impressed with the weight change so I went to the loo (sorry to give too much info) and squeezed out a little trickle (all I could manage!) and came back on the scale to be much more satisfied with the weight change. I call it a cheat cos I usually insist I ONLY weigh myself once a week. Anyway, i got on and off the electric scales to check and the scales are SURE that the lower weight is right.
Therefore....
...this week I lost 3 lbs and last week I lost 2 lbs. Total loss 59.5 lbs to date.0 -
I've been off on my hols, eaten for England and (thankfully!) I've only put on 2.5 lbs...I'm hoping that as it went on quickly, it'll come off quickly. Well, I can hope!
I haven't had a chance to read through and catch up yet, but would like to say congratulations to all who have lost weight this week!
Cheers

Hi again, I'm impressed with how well you're all doing, so many people have lost LOADS of weight..well done.:j
Thanks Petrichor, yes I am lucky to be able to cycle & swim (haven't had time to exercise for years as working long hours so been really enjoying the chance, plus we moved to a more cycle friendly city), but last week I skidded cycling round a corner and flew? off my bike, landing heavily on the pavement. :eek:Cue trip to casualty to check out the bump on my head & other injuries, and firm instructions not to exercise/drive/work at all for a few days, plus feeling very sore and wooly headed (aparently due to brain being shaken:eek: ). So all I can do is sit n try not to overeat too much, oh well just have to sit around & watch telly. So weight loss...hopefuly won't go up:mad: . Still have lost 4 lbs in last 2 weeks, and didn't break anything, so not all doom n gloom;) .
Anytime;)0 -
Morning Peeps, I hope you are all ok, been watching the floods on the news and was thinking about all my Lose Weight cyber friends and hoping they are all ok - are you
Well done on all the reported losses this week, I've maintained this week which is good considering the weekend. Lois, my total weight loss is wrong, what with all the gains/maintains/giving up - total loss is 20lbs0 -
Hi ajax
Welcome back. Congratulations on your marriage, it's obviously suiting you, and well done for climbing back on the slimming wagon, 7lbs off:T the rest will soon shift. Is MrsA with you at SW? She's a lucky woman (your sig shows you're a diamond geezer;) )
xxxx
thanks petrichor for those kind words. Yes, Mrs A is also on the SW train with me, and it's now pulling at Chubbyville en route to Normaltown with a bit of luck.
Does anyone have a tip for avoiding alcohol, when it seems only alcohol will do?0 -

the first week i lost 2lb and the 2nd week nothins, was slightly disappointed but thought to give it one more week see if i lose anything.
raihana stick with it, it really does work if you do it properly, and allows you to eat soooo much foodI'm a bit of an old hand at at, and a few others here too, so if you need any advice with it (all this As, Bs, syns etc can be daunting at first), just give us a shout.
