By the way forgot to mention, I also did a weightloss chart last week in excel, and made a nice looking graph. I was sad enough to keep most of my Boots weigh in tickets :) anyway, its a nice looking even (mostly) downward trend, could even spot the two blips :)

Whoop ee!! After my gain last week of 1.5 pounds I am [strike]happy[/strike] over the moon to report a loss of 4.5 pounds this morning!:j  :j

I did something a little different this week - I stuck to the SW diet however I also counted calories at the same time. I kept betweet 1600 to 1800 a day. If I hadn't done that I would have easily had twice as many - all of it SW free foods too!:o

I think one of my eating problems is that I don't realise that I can stop eating when I feel I have had enough. I just keep on going till I feel stuffed! Probably comes from being one of 8 children raised in a home where there was often not enough to eat. So when food was available you had to grab it while you could! Come to think of it. that is also probably the reason I tend to stockpile food as well. I think I could feed a family of four for 6 months on the contents of my freezers and store cupboards!

I guess I am going to have to start thinking about things I do and why I do them!!:o

    All the best
    Marion

    ps WELL DONE Petrichor!!! :T :j :T :j
pps - Can anyone recomend a good UK based online calorie counter? Most of the ones I have found are too American based.

I have dieted on and off for the last few years (mainly off, sadly!). I also have a graph of my weight back from 2001 (only from when i was dieting, I don't weigh myself when not on a diet - half the problem!!!). I find it really motivates me to see the line come down and compare what I weigh now to what I weighed at various times in the last 6 years.

Weigh-in tomorrow - wish me luck! Not sure whether it will be a good one or not. Hard to say.

Yay Victory on your loss :j

That's what I meant to say in the above post. I had to giggle when you posted your 'last week I lost * and this week I lost *' . I thought you were being funny, nice funny because you were a week early :D

    It should be this week...

Sorry ahead of myself, I understand now(simpleton leaving the room...!) well last week was 1/2 lb and this week 1 lb...1lb to go now....

suggs you can manage 1 stone in 6 weeks, it is not unachievable, you know you can do it, I have not done a slideshow but I had a photo taken last year while on hol taken of me stroking a dolphin, I am half kneeling down and it is a horrendous photo of me, I look truly awfully huge and am appaled(however you spell it!) that I was not aware I was that large and let myself get that huge, so instead of hiding it or burning it I had it blown up and have it on the book case for all to see.... I advocate it, it is very therapeutic, looking at what was and what now is.... that and as you say all the boots weight tickets, I have those everywhere!!

    well done retiredlady xx

welcome raihana there are lots of people on here doing SW WW, CALORIE counting, their own fresh fruit and veg diets, all sorts, don't give up just yet, keep going, 2 lb the first week is fantastic, the second week nothing is not good but def not a disaster, did you write a food diary? Did you drink lots of water? Did you up your exercise? Did you talk to your leader as to why?

I hear you Tallgirl although Friday was my 'sweet' day. I literally felt like I could eat sugar straight from the bag  well done on the maintain thou :T

Retiredlady - there is a link on the first page to a good calorie site. Get yourself a free account and have a good browse. Of course you can browse without getting an account but if you open one you can start keeping your own food log. It can take a few days but is really handy for common things you eat often. Also :j on your super loss this week.

Good luck on your weigh-in tomorrow efrieze :)

    Hello raihana
    - if you didn't talk to your leader then come talk to us. Ask anything you wish I'll we'll do our best to answer. Some of us are experts at the practical advise (even when we don't listen to ourselves :rotfl:)

Suggs - thanks for the kind words. I know I go into self destruct mode far too often. I know the signs and ignore them. Maybe I need Petrichors' stick on a daily basis >< Good luck with your aims to lose a stone :j I'm sure you can do it.

Oh and about your surname - you do know what the first 4 letters mean in slang don't you? Oh wait, you're a sportsman so maybe you mean it in that sense 'cos it's also slang for a 'fumble'. Oh dear I'm getting deeper into it now - think I'll flee while the goings good :rotfl:
