Lois I've got messenger but on another forum I was on we were advised not to put our contact details in our profiles but to pm it to whoever we wanted to have it. I can't remember the exact details but it was something to do with hacking.

Thanks for the tip Mistywoo - I'll take my contact details out of my profile!

Petrichor - and anyone else who's interested - Windows Live Messenger (also known as Instant Messenger or IM) is a free to download Microsoft product that I'm quite new to, so if anyone knows more about it please feel free to add further information! You need to sign up for it, and I believe this can be with any email address, not just Hotmail addresses. Then you share your username with other IM users, and you can see when they are online, and have a chat with them.

I'd add a link, but I can't seem to find the right page for the download!

Can I join please? I've got 25 lbs to lose, which I guess isn't an awful lot, but I'm terribley demotivated right now, its take me 10 weeks to shift 1/2 a stone on WW, and I've been so awful the last 2 weeks I haven't even bothered tracking.

So, I'm on for a new start tomorrow, along with my new found strategy of drinking a pint of water each time I go to the loo, I struggle so much to drink the correct amount of water, but this seems to work for me. When I'm at work I try to drink a pint an hour, which makes 7 each day.

...Lois Is this the one you mean? I don't really want to ask DD as I've had to sit through a lecture from her on French grammar:rotfl: :rotfl: I can't take anymore smugness from her tonight (I don't know where she gets her brains from  certainly not me:rotfl: ) ...

...Welcome ~evanesco~ The other day I did this post on Recommended Water Intake have a look and see if it's of any help to you, because a few of us here find it hard to drink a lot of water, you'll soon get remotivated and back into the swing of things as we all lose motivation at times but it does return, honestly  ...

Thanks Pet, I did have a read, but I really do find it helps when I drink at least 6 pints, I got scared a while ago as I read somewhere that drinking to much water is also bad for you. I drink lots of coffee so I guess I should factor that into my water intake too.

Morning and welcome to all newbies

:rotfl:some of you had really cruel parents!! How could you give your kid a name like Flossie Hotknockers

Welcome back Lois - glad you enjoyed your break and hope you enjoy yourself Beanie

I bet if the Col put his real name in his sig it would be Igor. I reckon he chops off a leg, gets weighed, then sews it back on again!!!!

Thanks for the extract on water intake Petrichor - I never got into the habit of drinking loads of water so it's nice to know my tea counts as well.

    /Sarcasm

Actually, think about it, how on earth did the human race survive for so long without all these experts telling us what to eat and drink.

    /End Sarcasm

:T a cossie for Victory - you go girl :T

I've missed something I was going to say..... I know I have. Oh well...

I've had a lousy week :( The dreaded 'yeah I've lost 3 lbs' curse has struck again. Well I'll get weighed tonight and I'm already back on day one. Main problem again last week was a total lack of menu planning aided by the fact that I didn't go to the supermarket or the farm shop..

    * tries to think of a new excuse. Fails :( *

    Bummer! Day one again... :D

Hope everyone does well this week.

Yay Victory on your loss :j

That's what I meant to say in the above post. I had to giggle when you posted your 'last week I lost * and this week I lost *' . I thought you were being funny, nice funny because you were a week early :D

    It should be this week...
