    :hello: Everyone,

I am doing ok with my weight at the moment :) Just hoping that I havent put anymore on,wont know until a months time.In the meantime I do a lot of walking for my exercise and trying not to eat loads, but that is the hardest part of all.

I enjoy a can of Coke and 1 packet of crisps on Saturdays only, the other days I dont get any at all and instead I will eat a lot of fruit.

    lots of love and light,

    Woohoo I'm back! :D:D

We had a lovely time in [strike]Wet [/strike]West Wales but I'm sooo glad to be back, I've missed you all!

I've waded through a week's worth of posts and really did laugh out loud at Flossy Hotknockers, Norma Stitts and Smiley Hotpants! :rotfl: Suggs (or should I say Pierre) - I put the blame fairly and squarely on your shoulders! ;)

Well, I started off the week with the best of intentions but unfortunately that only lasted for a couple of days, until we visited the Chocolate Farm (big mistake) and gave into temptation. That was the first step on the slippery slope, ending up with fish and chips, which were very enjoyable, but not going to do me any favours when I step on the scales. Ah well, Day One tomorrow... or it will be the big stick please Petrichor!

I had a strong sense of deja vu when reading Col. Mastard's post - I seem to remember a similar post once before - I treated it with the contempt it deserved the first time, and I'm doing the same this time. It does make me wonder what the person achieves by such ridiculous posts, although I don't suppose he will be back to see our responses.

Petrichor - don't ever change your posts, you always have me in stitches, it's not just your humour that I value, you give some great advice too. I was interested to read about water intake - I could drink tea until it comes out of my ears, and I always feel that I should drink less tea and more water, but it seems that fluids in any form are good. :)

Suggs - thanks for suggesting that people show their weight losses for each week, that will be really useful. I hope you're feeling a bit better about yourself.

Beanielou - have a great time on your holidays, and don't worry about the pictures. I always hate pictures of myself too, and I'm sure you, like me, are being over critical of yourself. I do hate it when people take snapshots without warning though, and I reserve the right to tear up photo's of myself if I don't like them (even if they don't belong to me!) :rotfl:

Victory - I had to smile at the Waitrose man's wink - it's those little things that build your self esteem, and you need to store them up and remember them whenever you lack confidence. ;)

A big welcome to all the newcomers - I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. I'm sure you'll find this thread very motivating - it certainly keeps me on the straight and narrow (apart from when I go away for a week!).

    Just found this thread, wonderful!

Would love to join, I have lost 1 stone and 8Lbs with SW. I aim to lose another 5 stone this will get me to a 10 stone weight. I have no idea how much I want to lose though because right now I am smaller than I have been for years.

I have been hovering around the 15 stone mark for about 2 months now. I seem to lose a pound and put two on. I am hoping that this thread will help keep me out of the fridge ;)

Anyone here use Windows Live Messenger? I've installed it on my PC and added my contact name to my profile here on MSE, so please add me to your list of contacts if you want to. Maybe we could all sign up for it, and then we'll be able to see when there's somone else on line and have a one-to-one.

    Hi Lovely Peeps

At first I couldn't get Ol' Lappy to work, but MrP sorted it out (overheated so the fan shut down) so I'll be in debt to him for days now:rotfl: still not working properly so this is a quickie post...

...Thanks for that beanie I'm hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow but if things follow the pattern to date then it may be a small loss and a big  but I've been thinking that I need to review the target, will decide tomorrow. I'm going with DD shopping on Tuesday and we're going to have a 'girly' day, MrP says that I'm to keep the money that I've saved by not paying for classes to spend on myself and that he'll treat me to a Radley as well as DD :j Good Old MrP :j (any more of this and I'll have to be his slave!!). When I do get to my target I shall definitely stay, as in the past the hardest thing to do is to maintain the loss so I'll need everyones help...

...I noticed on the sparkle website that G2J mentioned yesterday that there is a section on maintenance so I'll give it a perusal in readiness...

... Well done Victory on buying the swimsuit :j I hope that it's boosted your confidence...

...Welcome back Lilo Lil (the tart) :rotfl: I'm glad you had a good time despite the weather, you can't let trivial things get the better of you (Did I just say that??:rotfl: ) but as requested and well deserved IMHO sticksl1.gifDay one today please!! I agree about that post, I don't know why they bother either  As you are the fount of all knowledge in the world of computers can you please explain more about the Messenger thingy (I don't want to ask DD as I don't want to suffer the smug grin :rotfl: )

    ...not-tagged-smiley-14578.gifshed head :T ...

...fan not switching on gotta go...

Hi everyone. Well yesterdays plan of having something sensible for tea went out the window, did keep within my calorie allowance though which is something. Family was in and out all day yesterday which made meal planning a bit difficult so we had a snacky picky day, being good today. Did do some exercise though yesterday, DD has assigned herself as my personal trainer:rotfl: .
Grandma2jaret thanks for the link, I've signed up to Sparkpeople. It looks really good, theres a lot to read though, need to sit down and have a good look when I have got a quiet moment.
Congrats on the cossie Victory and thanks for the reassurance Petrichor, I guess I can call it an experimnt to see if 1400 calories of junk food works out the same as 1400 calories of healthy food weight loss wise
Lois I've got messenger but on another forum I was on we were advised not to put our contact details in our profiles but to pm it to whoever we wanted to have it. I can't remember the exact details but it was something to do with hacking.
Welcome all the newbies. Right gotta go and do something. Bye

Hi peeps:D obviously doctors are great and are trying to help me with the arthritic pain but they have put me on a course of tablets that they did say would raise my diabetic blood sugars and to be aware..day 3 of the *&^^*( tablets and my number should be 4-7 and are now 21.6!!!!!!!! and they also said that I would prob get stomach problems so they gave me stomach lining tablets to aid that and now here I sit with the onset of cystitis:eek:

I do appreciate what they are trying to do to ease the pain but it just adds to the problems;) need to talk to the doc tomorrow....again:rotfl:

Yesterday went out for a shopping trip for me and my DS to get hol clothes, decided 1st time ever to not take my lunch and lug it around and know that Boots do diet friendly sandwiches as do Sainsburys...had decided to get an egg mayonnaise one as that was the fancy at the time....351 calories:eek: and another one 451 in Sainsburys so went to Boots....there's was 291 calories so ended up with a prawn salad that came in the littlest tub for £2.40 (daylight robbery) and had 97 calories in, it was so tiny it did not touch the sides:rotfl: I did not realise it would be so hard to track down a healthy low calorie, cheap alternative to what I normally take along with me (the boys went to Macdonalds) I will make sure next time I take it with me, for £2.40 I could have had a huge salad that's for sure.....;)
