Ive lost a stone ast SW but getting a bit bored with it so joined WW on wed!
What a nitemare:eek:
There is no way on Gods green earth I am going back on Wed!
I walked in a 4 old dears were behind a table...."NAME" one old dear bellowed, told her my name and she started scratching thru some cards..."DO YOU NORAMLLY COME TO THIS CLASS" She bellowed, er no Im a new member. she tutted and told me to fill a form in.
By this time Im ready to run off to the sanctuary of my sofa and a pack of Jaffa cakes!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
So gets my card thing and went in to next room....it was like going to the gallows!:T :T :T :T :T
Some bird weighed me then shouted out my weight, asked me how much i wanted to lose then told everyone I was going to aim for 10% which was 13 stone 2 !!!!!!!! HELLO!!!!!!! OMG cant beleive the old fossil did that to me!
Turned out she was the leader!!!
She then said (without looking up at me) Do you really need me to go thru it with you???
Er Yes love thats why Im paying you a fiver a week!!
So looks like its back to SW for a friendly weigh in where nobody knows your weight!:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -
Oh! peggin what a horrifying experience  it's absolutely disgraceful  . Just think how someone, who may have taken months to pluck up the courage to go to WW, would have felt to have been subjected to such humiliation, it would make them feel so much worse and thereby fall at the first hurdle. We all know how hard it is to first admit that we need help. Apart from voting with your feet I think a letter to WW HO is in order, as I'm sure that that is not the way that they are trained. Thank goodness that you know better

..... I'm also making a huge effort to drink loads of water - is it ok to drink low sugar cordial instead, sometimes I get bored with water?
Have good day peeps,
Norma Stitts xx :rotfl:(DH wishes :rotfl:)
Hi Norma :rotfl:
I've googled water recommendation and found Recommended Water Intake a Myth the following extracts I think are relevant :-
...the notion may have started when the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Research Council recommended approximately "1 milliliter of water for each calorie of food," which would amount to roughly two to two-and-a-half quarts per day (64 to 80 ounces). Although in its next sentence, the Board stated "most of this quantity is contained in prepared foods," that last sentence may have been missed, so that the recommendation was erroneously interpreted as how much water one should drink each day...
...surveys of fluid intake on healthy adults of both genders, published as peer-reviewed documents, strongly suggest that such large amounts are not needed. His conclusion is supported by published studies showing that caffeinated drinks, such as most coffee, tea and soft drinks, may indeed be counted toward the daily total. He also points to the quantity of published experiments that attest to the capability of the human body for maintaining proper water balance.
I've found it impossible to drink the amounts much vaunted in the media these days; I have fruit teas, calorie free soft drinks or sparkling water depending what the weather's like, but it means frequent visits to the bathroom. However sometimes I do find it 'filling' when I think I'm hungry but am really only thirsty.
Incidentally, my mother received some junk mail from Tena Lady and in their literature they stated that you should only need to wee 4 times a day....Who are they kidding????
Flossy
xxxxI know a lot of you lovely peeps find that it helps, and if it helps even only psychologically, then it does work. I don't want to upset anyone

Hi jay and
. I'm glad that you've decided to join us:j , we are a friendly bunch all trying to reach the same goal but by many different methods and with a laugh or two on the way. I'm 5'3" and at my heaviest I resembled a beach ball
I was about 10" too short for my weight :rotfl: . You're very lucky to be able to cycle and swim so if you tie that in with some healthy eating, you'll be unrecognisable when the autumn term starts as a new and lovelier you  . At the start of this thread there are a few links to various sites that can help you, but I thoroughly recommend that you join Lois's 2lb weight loss chart and join in the monthly challenges, they really do inspire you
, also, stay with us to stay inspired.
